Nowashagitation or spin? try these:

WATER PRESSURE SWITCH: This switch keeps your washer from overflowing. It is responsible for shutting off the power to the fill valve and redirects the power to the timer to start the washing machine running once the correct water level has been reached. Metercheckurwaterpressure switch?
You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube.
If the machine starts to wash.the pressure switch is more than likely good
( No wash starts - then THE DIAPHRAGM IS BAD AND SWITCH HAS TO BE REPLACED) another test u can do isRemove the hose and submerge in water. Seal one end and blow air into the other end and look for bubbles. Check for an obstruction in the hose as well.
Ortake the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into itATthe other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and udontfeel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ?
Sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphragm to not open. ?

Another testu can make with a multi meter is by testing the prongs individually.
# 15,16,17 (don't worry to much bout the numbers IF U GET THEM WRONG) placeurmeter prongs on both out side prongs or connectors of the switch.
(where the wire plugs into) take note of weather it shows OHMS or infinity ( open or close circuit) ? Now place the meter on the left outside and the middle prong, take noteaginwhat it shows. Now place meter prong on the right outside and the middle prong.Agintake note what reading u get. ( you should actually get a reading of infinity in 1 and a reading of continuity or ohms in the other 2? Now the tricky part.Aginplace a small tube or hose into the switch and blow into it, using the meter do the same testaginon all prongs. But now keep the pressure on the switch when u blow into it, in other words useurtongue on one end of tube to not allow air to escape. When u test itaginnow one of the prongs that once read infinity should now show continuity or ohms, and 1 of the other prongs that read ohms should now read infinity or open.

Motor Coupling If the washer won't spin or agitate the motor coupling might have failed. The motor coupling connects the motor to the washertransmission. It is designed to fail if the washer is overloaded in order to protect both the motor andDrive Belt If the washer won't spin or agitate, check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't spin or agitate properly.mode shifter and orDrive Motor If the washer won't spin or agitate the drive motor might be defective. This is not common. Check all of the other related parts to this symptom before replacing the motor. If the motor is visibly burned out or physically damaged, replace it.Stator Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the stator assembly might be burned out. The stator is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the stator burns out the washer won't spin or agitate. Check the stator for continuity. This part is often misdiagnosed.
Transmission or clutch assembly not engaging due to going out or slipping.

Door or Lid Latch Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.Motor Control Board If the washer won't spin or agitate the motor control board might be defective. The motor control board provides power to the motor as well as direction and force. If the motor control board is defective the washer may not work at all or function properly.

CHECK THECAMDOGS INSIDE THE AGITATOR, ?AS THEY WILL HINDER THE AGITATION PROCESS.?However in G.E models the cam dogs are replaced with what is called an agitator coupler. (located at bottom of tub)
Remember to check the agitatorsplineas wellfor worn broken teeth.

SOURCE: Eurotech front loading washer, noisy on spin cycle with load.

My eurotech washer has an inner and outer stainless steel drum. The inner drum is supported in the back by cast aluminum supports. (like many other models). The cast aluminum carodes and weakens and breaks. You may find pices of this in the strainer. Not hard to replace and not expensive but very difficult to get the part. Eurotech has been out of the part for months.

SOURCE: Washer spin cycle won't spin

This sounds like you have a bad clutch if it's a direct drive top load. ...have to pull the motor, drop transmission, and replace.

My Kenmore 970-C47092 washer won't spin or drain

The pump went out. When a washer doesn’t drain it won’t spin either. The problem is the pump isn’t working. This could be a easy fix. When clothes are loaded, a sock or a small item can accidentally slide over the wash tub and land in the outer holding tank. The pump will pull down the sock and clog the pump from a hose connected to it. Separate the pump from the hose and you might find a handkerchief, small rag or sock inside.

Washer Spin Cycle doesn't work - sometimes

Hello T Wright - Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like more than likely the unit is sensing an out of balance load, which could be too light or to heavy of a load, and the unit will not advance to high speed spin. However, often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Washer will not spin at all no code . will drain and tumble back and forth, when it comes time to spin it turns off.

A washing machine is basically a big tub that repeatedly fills with water and then drains, spins to wring clothes dry, and has a device for stirring things up-- either an agitator in the middle of a top-load machine or a rolling drum in the case of a front-loader.
The four cycles that every washer performs are fill, wash, drain, and spin. Though these functions are pretty basic, a number of things can go wrong with them.
There are a number of problems that you can fix quite simply; some issues, however, are better left in the hands of an appliance repairperson.Problems that commonly occur with a clothes washer are discussed in depth below. If your washer doesn't run, be sure it's plugged in and that the receptacle works (the circuit hasn't overloaded). Before working on the washing machine, be sure to unplug it.
To prevent problems, follow good maintenance procedures. Use the right amount of detergent for your washer and your water hardness, make sure the machine is level, and don't overload it for the cycle chosen.

Washing Machine Does Not Fill
If the washer doesn't fill, the water inlet screens may be blocked. Clean or replace them. (Check your owner's manual for the location of the screens; they're often located at one end of the supply hoses, or you may have to remove a panel to access them.) Other reasons for not filling may be that either the timer or temperature selector is broken--both of these are repairs for an appliance repairperson.

Washer Does Not Spin
If your washer doesn't spin, check to see if the clothes have jammed or are unbalanced in the drum before calling a repairperson. Unbalanced clothes will also cause a w
asher to shudder or "walk." If straightening out the load doesn't stop the washer from shaking, look at the feet underneath and be sure they are properly adjusted to keep the washer sitting level on the floor (you just turn them to move them up or down).
Clothes Are Wet After Spin Cycle
If your clothes remain wet after your washer's spin cycle, perform the following diagnostics:
1) Lift the lid during the spin cycle. If the tub is not spinning, you may have a damaged motor coupler. Call a repairperson to replace this part.
2) If the tub is spinning, recheck the load to make sure it is balanced. If you are certain the load is balanced but your clothes are still wet, you may need to call a repairperson to replace a damaged motor pulley, tub bearing, belt, or clutch.

3) You can also follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in "Washing Machine Doesn't Drain." You may have a problem with your drain hose or pump.

Spin cycle doesn't work...sounds like its spinning but it's not.

Does it agitate in the wash cycle?if not, you need to check the "motor coupling" on the unit. Below is a video to show you how. Here is a kink to the part.

Model GLTF167A0S0 Serial XC22704657... The final spin frequently doesn't work. I tried another wash cycle and the "high speed" spin didn't work. I can manually start the cycle and it...

If the water is pumping out fine you may need new shocks. But if it is slow pump the shaft on the pump is loose and causing the noise and possibly the spin issue. If it is loud when it does go into a spin (sounds like a jet engine) you have bad bearings. Big bucks to fix.

My Cabrio washer won't drain and spin. It says "LD" and consistently stops with 24 minutes left on the cycle. For a while if I would spin the basket a little it would work. Not that...

There could be several things causing this problem. Have any small items gotten caught in the pump or between the basket and tub? You may be using a cycle with a low spin speed. If you need to remove excess water, select the Drain and Spin option. If the load is tightly packed it might cause the problem you're having. Are you using ONLY "HE" detergent? If so, be sure you're using the correct amount. To clean out residue from too much or wrong type of detergent select the "Rinse and Spin" option but do NOT add any detergent.
I hope this information helps. If it does, please rate my suggestion and its effectivness. Thanks!

Wont finish a small load. Gets to 4 minutes and

With a small load, the machine will have a difficult, if not impossible job of balancing the load. A bigger load will help. Another thing you can do is to use a low spin speed. If you wish to spin it out faster, just turn the machine back on after it has finished a cycle on the low spin speed and just push the spin speed button without selecting a cycle. You can touch the spin speed button until it shows the next higher spin speed, then push the start button and the machine will not fill with any water, it will just pump and spin. (about 14 minutes) This generally works, because you have spun most of the water out at a lower spin speed, and now the washer is able to reach the next higher spin speed as the load is not as unbalanced as it was before the low speed spin.

Washer will hum and will not drain water out!

You will have to either look under the machine or take the back off.
You will see the big motor which does the washing.
You will also see a small motor which drains the machine.
Disconnect the power supply and remove the pipes from the small motor.
It could be blocked up from congealed washing powder.
Or something may have blocked the pipe from the drum to the drain motor.
If it all looks ok and still doesn`t work, then the motor has siezed.
Very easy to replace
good luck
