Although the the serial number is underlined on the sticker, you do not need to underline it when typing it in on the screen. If it needs to be underlined, it will be fix by the software itself by default.
Without actually seeing how your table is set up, I would suggest you check the following properties. Check to see if the height of cell is adequate for the size font you are using and that the text is horizontally centered within the table cell. It is possible that the underline is printing in the same location as the gridline.
