SOURCE: china mobile headphone symbol on display

It means that everything is being forward to a BT headset. You need to disable it, go to the BT icon, My devices, choose the BT that is currently connected and tap on Disconnect, or just power off the BT.

SOURCE: my sony dav-s-400 system keeps activating headphone port output.

Just had and fixed the same problem that hundreds of people are suffering with this system!!
Sony DAV s400 - same problem, won't play though speakers and display indicates that headphones are plugged in - when they are not. Fairly easy to fix and took me less than an hour from start to finish:
1) Remove top cover
2) Remove circuit board that has Audio In/Out phono scockets (to get access to Amplifier Circuit Board)
3) Remove Amplifier circuit board (has the speakers attached)
4) Turn it over and remove copper heat shield
5) Resolder joints where the big brown capacitor is and where the wires go to the front headphone socket...and any other dodgy joints that you find
6) Reassemble.

Try changing the Windows Default Audio devices

  1. Go to control Panel
  2. Sounds and audio devices
  3. The Audio tab
  4. Then change the Sound Recording Device to Logitech Headphone INPUT
Hopefully this will work

How can i increase volume for mic iphone 3gs or input volume during calls..they cant hear me clearly..thats my phone problem..iphone 3gs..

Hello

1 .You need to confirm if its the volume or the mic of your phone that has the problem.

2 .If its the mic, your callers would not hear you but you would be able to hear them.

3. You can Adjust the volume of your iPhone by depressing the volume button on the left edge of the phone, close to the top. This will cause a volume indicator to appear, superimposed over the other icons on your screen. This will increase the volume of your ringer. If you wish to adjust the volume of the phone speaker, use this button during a live phone call. You can also control the volume of your speaker when you are using your iPhone as a music player in the same manner.

4. If its the mic, remove the iPhone from the case, as your case may be blocking the device's microphone.

5. Plug the iPhone device cable into the iPhone and into the computer's USB port.

6.Launch iTunes. Click "iPhone" or the device's name in the sidebar in iTunes and click "Summary then Click "Check for Update" and "Download and Install" to update your iPhone's OS.

7. Remove the device cable after the update finishes and insert your headphone jack into the iPhone's headphones port, tap "Phone" on the home screen, tap "Contacts" and tap a contact to place a call.

8. Press the "+" button on the microphone to increase your microphone's volume.

9. If the problem persists take your iPhone to your local Apple Store for professional service.
BEST OF LUCK

There is little volume from the headphones but I can hear music coming from the ipod nano itself! How can I adjust it?

1 May be the headphone jack has not been inserted properly in the headphone socket. Try removing it and replacing it. OR
2 Check the headphone on any other audio device just to make sure your headphones are OK. OR 3 Press Menu, go to settings, go to volume limit and see that it is fixed to maximum. 4 OR press Menu, go to settings, go to clicker, press the center and fix it to headphones

Headphone

If you wrap the headphone around your iPod, after a while, it may bend a pin in the headphone jack, causing no contact to be made, therefor one side of music. You can try to bend it back with a pin, or order a new ******** www.ifixitcom.
