Pioneer VSX-534 FL Off light Blinking. Please Help

I purchase a brand new Pioneer vsx-534 back in April 2019, the system is still under warranty nowadays. A couple days ago I was just watching random video on youtube and suddenly my AV receiver just stopped working. The sound was at a reasonable level, nothing too demanding. Now when I try to turn on my AV receiver, the volume show up and the FL off light start blinking and then shut back down after 3-4 seconds. I contacted Pioneer, they told me to go to a service point to make the repair, the thing is that the closest repair point is 11 hours away from home. I contacted the service point and they told me that I need to pay the shipping to ship them the unit... Costing around 70$ CAD. Any good alternative? I mean I know a little bit of this stuff so I can easily open the unit and try fixing it myself, I'm just not sure where to start. It's totally not acceptable that I need to pay for something that is still under warranty. The unit is 300$ brand new, i'm not going to pay 1/3 of the price to just ship it out... please help

A lot of audio and studio equipment is SMT now and is not easy to work on. It could be a CPU or any of a number of issues with finals, capacitors etc.

SOURCE: I have a vsx-52tx pioneer elite reciever with a light that keeps blinking. It keeps tripping while watching movies. should i get another one or is there something like resetting the reciever

I am assuming the light that is flashig is the "MCCAC" light on the front display. Supposing this is correct you have either a blown amplifier (one or mor channels) is the protection circuitry is not operating correctly. In either case the receiver has locked up to prevent any additional damage. There is a key sequience that needs to be preformed to unlock the unit so a technician can troubleshoot the problem. In most cases a blown amplifier should be in the $150.00 dollar range to get repaired. This is a fairly high end Pioneer receiver and is probably worth repairing, or at least finding out what the repair will cost.

Pioneer VSX-930. The 'FL' light flashing on and off?

FL OFF could indicate a problem with the power supply or the cooling fan inside the receiver. Try unplugging the unit to reset the error code. If the error persists, the receiver needs to be serviced. If the Pioneer VSX-90 is still under warranty (1 year), contact the manufacturer. Otherwise, decide if it is worth fixing (including the shipping costs and minimum service fee).

I wish that I had better news for you. (There are service manuals available for sale online. I know nothing about these vendors.)

Fl off blinking Red PIONEER VSX-S520

To perform a reset on your Pioneer VSX-S520 using the remote controller, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the receiver is turned off.
  2. Press and hold the "BAND" button and the "STANDBY/ON" button simultaneously until the display starts flashing.
  3. Release the buttons and the display should stop flashing.
  4. The receiver is now reset to its default settings.
If the "Fl off" blinking red light persists, it could indicate a problem with the receiver that requires further troubleshooting or repair.

Why is there a blinking FL OFF light?

Usually means the unit is locked in protect mode. Try holding the advanced surround and power buttons to see if the unit will turn on.
