My HEWLETT PACKARD ER27 DISPLAY has constant 1 inch borders.

Connected to a HP P6-2100, 64 Bit using Win 10 Pro. Fresh drivers for the Monitor and HP did not help. I tried both VGA and DVI outputs and different cables. The "boarder" is still present in "BIOS" and the Display "Auto-Adjust" does not remove the boarder. When this monitor is connected to a DELL computer, 64, Win10 ~ the boarders are gone!

SOURCE: DVI input on monitor not working

Contacted viewsonic about this issue- they suggested- have both dvi and vga hooked up to same machine. start with poweroff on both. power on monitor, then power on computer. when you see display coming from the vga, power off pc, then disconnect vga cable, turn off power to monitor, disconnect power cord from monitor for 5 + seconds, reconnect power cord, power on monitor, then power on pc.
If this doesn't work to get the dvi working, (as happened to us) we returned our monitor for a replacement, since it was still under warranty.

This maybe your cleaning blade, your drum or the fuser unit....the best way to find out is to make a copy a to stop it before it's getting to the fuser unit ( that's the thing very hot). If you see your border it's your cleaning or drum...But when you replace a drum you must replace the cleaning blade to !

Hope it help !

SOURCE: "No signal detected" when LCD connected with DVI-D Cable

Thank you for providing your configuration details.
You have failed to specify wheather or not your LCD Display is under Warrenty.

Perhaps these simple trouble shooting procedures will get the job done.

1. use the DVI to VGA adaptor that came with your card

Plug in a regular CRT monitor to the Primary Display Output Port using the DVI to VGA adaptor
( either port can be designated as the primary by you )
I like to use the Port nearest to the motherboard as the Primary

2. plug in the your LCD monitor on Secondary Display port using your DVI cable

At this point you should be able to see your desktop on the Primary CRT Display

3. Go to the display properties and use the Nvidia Dual Display Setup Wizard

set both desktops to CLONED at a resolution of 1024x768 and set the refresh to 60Hz
which is default for most LCD displays , some have higher refresh rates , consult your user manuel

If the display resolution and refresh are set incorrectly for your CRT or LCD you will see
Signal Out of Range ( if the display has the ability to display that error message )

At this stage both displays should be showing a Windows Desktop

If you now see your desktop on both displays , you can now put the LCD on the Primary Port

No Signal Detected ( this means the display device is not receiving a signal )

If your LCD display is still displaying the error message
"No Signal Detected" after performing the trouble shooting proceedures
You may need to read the user manuel about how to enable DVI signal input.

If you are certan you have done everything correctly but still see only "No Signal Detected"

Your LCD Display may need replacement

SOURCE: Blank screen using Vista x64 with Nvidia Forceware Drivers 8600GT

Most like the sound card you have is not compatible with Windows Vista. You need to check the manufacturers website to see if there is any patch for Windows Vista

Hp p6530z desktop will not boot

It could be the monitor. Try a different monitor. Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Good luck.

Win XP instaling problem on Hp probook 6550b

Hope you are using a fresh windows XP install of the entire system.
HP drivers will need to be obtained and installed before running. The error on the screen usually is a driver error and not a XP issue.

Connect dual monitors

According to HP, You can run 2 monitors on this machine. the problem is that one of them has to be a VGA and the other one must be a DisplayPort monitor. The display port connector looks similar to an HDMI port but is not the same. There are adapters that claim to convert DisplayPort to VGA but I've had mixed results trying to use them. I KNOW they don't work on some Lenovo monitors. You can find your specs here:
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01549447&DocLang=en&docLocale=en_US&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002
the monitors should be connected and then the machine powered up. you should be able to right click on the desktop and go to properties and configure the monitors

Cannot load software for Vista

downloading software for windows 7 from HP website will solve the problem but it should be of same 'bit' that is if your vista is 32 bit then go for win 7 32 bit or if your vista is 64 bit then go for win 7 64 bit.

Instaled windows 8 and wireless network adapter is not working

Only Win 7 drivers on HP. You can try forcing the driver by right clicking the setup. It may work, but there is chance it won't and you will have revert back to Win 7 or wait to see if HP ever updates the driver. gl

Where can I find Win 7 drivers for my HP dv9843cl Notebook?

You will have to use Vista drivers for either the 32 bit or 64 bit version. HP does not support the Windows 7 operating system so they did not release any drivers for it. If you can't get a Vista driver to work, then try the manufacturer of the device you need the driver for, they may issue a Windows 7 driver aside from HP.
