Press and hold the power button for @ 10 seconds. That should shut down your device. Then, after it shuts down, again press and hold the power button until it reboots.

Hi I have creative zen micro that freezes, can you help?

hi,

Lots of people have the same problem, though noone really knows why. Many are convinced that Creative simply screwed up. None of the firmware updates I've tried fixed it, so the problem is probably hardware-related. Another common problem is that the headphone jack glitches. It's simply too weak. Though Creative has not officially commented this, it appears newer versions don't have the headphone jack problem (at least not as often). Anyhoo, be careful with the connector.

If you still can, I would recommend you to return your Zen Micro and get something else. Otherwise, you can fix the freezing (every time it appears, and it WILL happen again) like this:
1. Shut the player down (if you can). Remove the battery.
2. Hold the power button and reinsert the battery. Keep holding the power button until the player is started up. You should now be on the recovery screen.
3. Run a Disk cleanup. This will delete all your settings, but your songs and playlists will be intact. I don't know about other stuff like calendar entries.
4. After the cleanup is done, choose reboot.
The player will now reboot. After the reboot, your Zen Micro will display "Rebuilding library". After this is done, you should be able to use your player again. Just be ready to do this every few days. It mostly seems to happen when it's been off for a while and the battery power is low.

i hope this will be helpfull to you .

goodluck.......

My mp3 player keeps rebooting while connected to my PC. Its recognized by the pc and i can transfer/sync files just fine. But it randomly reboots and sometimes in the middle of sync'ing. could it be a usb...

Yes, It sounds like a USB problem. I have a PDA and this was happening to me. Now I have to plug my PDA into a USB port on the back of my computer to keep it Synced up.. Try a port on the back. These ports have more power available to power these devices.

Power Button Flashing Red

Try unplugging the entire unit and letting it sit for 5 minutes. See if this helps. If not, you need to do a complete reboot, which will cause you to lose your settings, but will probably solve your problem. To do a complete reboot, you will need to hold down two of the front bottons on the front panel. I'm not sure which, so either consult your manual or see other posts here which describe the reboot process for Denons. Hope this helps.

Ipod 30 gb

Reboot, plug your player in, open Device Manager, and remove the device that shows up representing your player (completely uninstall it). Reboot again, and plug in your player. It should be recognized now.

Problems with turning on

Sounds like it may be the index in your Music Library. Try going into Recovery Mode the routine way; remove battery(are they charged and good?), hold power switch to ON, replace battery, release power switch when the Recovery Mode screen appears on the screen. Run Option 1 CleanUP, after it completes run Option 4 Restart/Reboot. You will get a Rebuilding Library screen when it reboots, that's normal, then it should go back to your startup screen. Good luck and let us know what happened
