This normally means that the iron is not heating up enough check that you have adjusted the temp so it is not as the water will either come out of the bottom when not hot enough to steam or when the jets get dirty and need cleaning.

These holes are probably due to wear, as they are at about the level of the cutter. In general, residential disposals are not repairable and once they begin to leak, they must be replaced. The Badger series is Insinkerator's budget line and probably has about a 5 year lifespan with normal use.

There should be no leaking to the outside of the motor. If there is a weep hole, it would indicate there is a seal problem between the cutter blade shaft and the motor. Contact ace hardware and see if theycan give you a little more information on this unit.
