These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7. Turn on the TV.
tracey.....take the battery cover off the back of the remote....then go to the game system cons and open the front flap to the left of the cd slot (find the red sync button on the cons......press and hold the red sync button next to the batteries on the remote......now just press the button on the game system (do not hold button on the cons.)....watch the remote led lights on the bottom....when they are done blinking there should be a light left on (if this is the second cotroller, it should be the second light from the left that is on).
