After an hour of searching I found 3 tiny buttons on the back of the answering machine base that let me change the date and time by pressing and holding. Phew....

I contacted SportBeat Inc. with the same problems you reported. I sent back the old watch with a $20 check to have them replace the "module". (This is what they told me over the phone to do.) They sent back a brand new watch in less than a week, and returned my check! (Maybe I was still under warranty?) Anyway, their phone number and address are on the back of the manual. They were very responsive to phone calls and emails. Good luck!

You certainly have had good service out of the battery. It is best left to a watch repairer to replace the battery.

Pull the batteries out let it reset itself while its doing that check all cable to make the connection are seated firmly then reinstall the batteries, unless the function pad is sending a phantom signal engaging the display to be on continuously,or by pure chance the upper electronics went hay wire

adjust the REED switch, see the diagram attached.2) test the adapter and see if there voltage and compare with the label attached.3) replace the old battery by new ones, clean the spring contacts from dirty, oxide, corrosion.God bless you

Anybody else own one of these machines that could give some helpful info.? I don't feel the response I received so far is a 'solution' as the site catagorizes the answer as.... thanks in advance for any useful info....
