Fridgidaire #lfhg2251tf3
What are you talking about? What is it that you need to manually reset when the power goes out? What is it that you want to bypass?
Testimonial: "Sorry, the rest of my question wasn't posted. This is a Frigidaire LFHG2251TF3 If we lose power when we go away, the fridge doesn't turn on automatically when power returns."
Power Failure
In the event of a power failure, the power fail
alert will be illuminated. Press set to acknowledge the alarm. Other modes may be turned
off until the alarm is acknowledged. While
a power fail alert is displayed on the control
panel, the unit will continue normal operation.
The power fail alert on the control panel will
be removed once in the user acknowledges
the power fail condition by pressing any key on
the control panel. The high temp alarm may
also be illuminated until a safe operating range
temperature has been reached.
I looked up the owner's manual for your appliance and didn't see anything specific regarding your complaint. Do you have to reset the breaker at the fuse box or reset the display on the frig? Do you have the manual? if not you can view it from this link.https://www.searspartsdirect.com/manual/...
Thank you, I can reset it manually but I am concerned when we go away. Shouldn't the fridge turn on again after power returns?
Normally the refrigerator should automatically turn back on and resume normal functions. Your particular model has a couple different versions. I am unsure if it applies to your specific version. Have you already tried to recreate a power outage? If you recreated the power outage by unplugging the refrigerator, waited and plugged it back in. Do you have to cancer an alarm in order for the refrigerator to turn back on? Please try recreating a power outage and let me know how the appliance handled the event.
I think you will find that the refrigerator does in fact reactivate and return to normal operations. You will notice that an alarm sounds. This acknowledges that a power failure was detected. But this alarm does not prevent the unit from operating. Thank you for writing back.
Thank you very much, I was concerned because all of the temps go blank until I reset it.
Glad I could help. Have fun on your trip. Bye.
