The L6 code means trouble with the laser unit ( polygon motor), it has to be replaced. The laser unit is under the exit tray. Hope this helps.

on this code you may have to clean out the developing unit and start with fresh developer. Make sure the developer unit is not leaking from one of the bearings. You may need a tech for this one...

The error is for the polygon motor if you have done the test for the motor and it doesnt work I think thereis the answer because they spin so fast the motors will eventually go if it had been a little noisy p[rior to this then it has a read or seize error if you know how to take it out youcan manually gently spin it to see if it is stuck just make sure you use a clean dry cloth to cover it prior to turn as you might mark the mirrors.. Hello sir; You may try to perform a reset procedure as follow;
press " program", " * ", " clear ", " * " and start key, then enter 17, press start again, turn machine off and back on.
