Sounds like back light problem. If you're aware in electronics, just proceed. if not seek assistance to any service technician.

LCD screens are monolithic (one piece) components. They cannot be repaired, they can be replaced. One site I found for replacement info is http://www.screentekinc.com, they even have DIY info if you are so inclined. There are many other sites; do a search on "lcd repair"

do you have a service manual for this tv because it may be your red drive circuit and you need to trouble shoot it if you don't have a service manual for your tv I will post a link where you can get one plus free online tech support to help you troubleshoot this problem

the problem is the backlight not lit evenly.
have the backlight inverter board checked for correct ac ht and if that is okay then u will have to replace the backlight.
