Possible blockage of burner tube
If it was me i would call the repair man up and ask what it was they did. He might say what he did . I am wondering if it was a burnt or loose wire that has come apart.
Testimonial: "I had tried replacing the igniter before the tech came out and put the original one back in. I had also purchased the gas regulator but did not put it in. |My wife didn't get the tech's name or number nor did she see what he did. Then did not use the oven for another month then didn't tell me it was broken again for another 2. Can anyone tell me which position the regulator value should be in?"
In My case the boiler does work. Its bake mode. When I put a new igniter it it glowed just like the old one so I put the old one back. I left the stove pulled away from the wall and the service person was in an out in just a couple of minutes. He told my wife he would not charge us because the issue was so simple to correct so there wasn't any paperwork. The oven worked at no charge my wife was surprised and didn't think to ask any questions . I call sears but no paperwork meant no work was performed. At the time I thought what would the price the service man would pay (for not charging) for me to look in the gift horse's mouth. At the time the oven worked. What's obvious isn't always best.
It needs to be understood - the repair person was in and out in minutes. There was no charge, no parts were used nor were any diagnostics performed - at least non that would require any time or a meter. The igniter still glows red, burners work, broiler works so what switch, valve, fuse, breaker is inline for baking. What controls baking that would cause its igniter to glow but gas not it? Think within the parameters (in and out quickly) but outside the box while keeping it simple What is the answer?

SOURCE: Broiler not working and stains around gas burners
use a stain remover like hapic, or gbc and the stain will go off.
SOURCE: KENMORE GAS STOVE OVEN LOWER BURNER WON'T WORK
Most likely a hot-surface ignitor has failed. If it doesn't consume enough current, the gas valve won't open. It's usually a fairly easy fix, once you gain access to the ignitor and have a new one to replace it with. Make sure you unplug the range...
SOURCE: oven quit working
Hi. this is common in many old gas range ovens. There is a set of coils that are attached to the gas valve assembly. These coils , when activated and operational, open and close the main and secondary valves in this unit. They are controlled by the main ERC(clock/oven control board). I recommend checking these coils and there respective wiring harnesses. if the clips and wires are worn and corroded, simply replace the entire wire harness.
Now, if the wiring harness and wires that are connected to the coils look good and there are no signs of corrosion on the wires and connector clips, this will confirm that the coils have failed and you will need to replace them.
You can also preform an additional test with a multimeter. simply connect your multimeter or voltage meter to both terminal posts located on the coils. once your meter is connected, start the oven cycle. you should register some sort of current during this test at this time. if the current is sufficient and the coils do not initiated the valve action, this will confirm coil failure. if the meter dosen't register a current during oven operation, this will confirm ERC(control) failure. you will have to replace the Oven control board in this case.
The Most common issue in this situation will most defiantly be the coil assembly and not the control.
Please rate and god bless:)

I have a Frigidaire Model Number GLGF377ASF. The stovetop burners work just fine but the oven and broiler do not work.
