Actually, I don't know, and to be honest, I haven't tried such a security system. Following the advice of my friends, I decided to try the Ajax security system, ordered the installation of smoke, motion, and water leakage sensors, and now I feel much calmer at home because I often turn on music loudly and sometimes I'm afraid that I just won't hear how water is heating my house or fire is burning in the next room and will soon burn the entire apartment. Or I won't hear anyone trying to get into the house at all.

How do I retreive messages from the answering machine remotely?

this is pertinent to uniden dect 1653 series and may work on yours as most uniden systems use the same format
1--call your phone number and wait until the system answers( if it is turned off , it answers after 15 rings and sounds a series of beeps
2--- during the greeting or beeps , press the # and immediately enter your security code . If you enter it incorrectly 3 times , the system hangs up and returns to standby
3--- the system announces the time and the number of messages in the memory and a help prompt. It beeps to let you know it's waiting for a command
4--when you hear the beeping , enter , enter a 2 digit code command from from the chart for example to play a message press# then 2
if you don't press any keys for 15 seconds the system hangs up and returns to standby
the chart codes are
#1---repeat message
#2-- play message
#3--skip message
#4 --delete message
#5--stop play back
#6 turn system on
#9---turn system off
#0 hear help prompts
to get your security code -- programming a security code
the default security code is 80
1-- with the phone in standby, open the menu from any handset
2-- select ans setup, the select security code
3-- use the number keypad to enter a 2 digit security code ( any numbers in the 00-99 bracket) Press menu/ select when you are finished
remember to note your security code
if this doesn't work on your set up go google and type in user manual for (make and model ) cordless phones-- and print out any pdf version down loads

Where can I purchase the Moose MPi712a keypad?

Based on the copyright date on the cut sheet (1995), I would say your only chance is ebay or some other similar site. As far as I know, Moose has been out of business for years. http://acs.lock.hk/files/MPI-712a.pdf MOOSE MPI 712A KEYPAD CONTROL STATION

Follow the instruction on the install manual, page 7. you should start by cleaning the memory of all the previous data - as explained in page 6.
If you don't have the manual get it from here

I have a moose z1100e and after a power outage i cant get in to program, what do i need to do?

It has been my experience that if an alarm panel behaves differently after a storm or power outage I would power system down wait 1 min power back up. If that does not help. Then I would try to default the panel and reprogram it, if the customer was desperate to keep it. If not(taps plays in backround) time to replace panel.

Entry delay is set correct but I want it to call out more quickly when the alarm actually goes off. It seems to wait too long. Do the entry delay and the actual alarm call out delay always the same?

Installation manual is here:

http://www.sdilink.com/GE%20Manuals/Simon%203%20Install.pdf

Programming starts on page 17.

Dialer Delay is option 17 on page 29. It's default setting is 30 seconds.

To set Dialer Delay, press:
1.Add
2.Option #
3.17
4.Use the numbered keys to enter the time 005 -
254 seconds (all entries must be 3 digits).
5.DONE
To turn off Dialer Delay, press:
1.Delete
2.Option #
3.17
4.DONE

Hope this helps.

Ac/lb light keeps flashing and home alarm beeps every 5 minutes or so and i cant get the light to go off

What model is your alarm system? The maker (Honeywell, Ademco, DSC, Napco, Caddx, ITI, GE, Moose, Morse, etc etc etc) and model number is usually inside the door of the control panel cabinet on a diagram. Numbers printed at the top of the control panel (NOT the keypad) circuit board is also helpful.

Have a code alarm for car remote dont work and cant disable it. wont start how do i disconect alarm so car will start

Provided that your system is not programmed for coded override, the standard emergency override is as follows:

1. Enter the vehicle (the security system will trigger.)
2. Locate but do not press the valet/override switch yet (it should be a small black button installed under the dash within reach of the driver)
3. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
4. Press and release the emergency override button (The security system will turn off).
Note: If the automatic arming feature is enabled on your system. The security system will re-arm the next time the ignition key is turn off and the vehicle's doors are closed.

If the coded override feature was enabled by the installing dealer, you will need to follow these procedure:

1. Enter the vehicle (the security system will trigger).
2. Locate but do not press the valet/override switch yet (it should be a small black button installed under the dash within reach of the driver)
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
4. Within 5 seconds press the emergency override button the number of times corresponding to the first digit of your personal code (Default digit is 1).
5. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.
6. Within 5 seconds press the emergency override button the number of times corresponding to the second digit of your personal code (Default digit is 1).
7. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition key OFF, then ON.
8. If entered correctly the security system will turn off.
9. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

If the coded override feature is enabled and the code is lost, the system will need to be reprogrammed by an authorized dealer.

I have a Guardian home security system and comcast digital voice. After switching to digital voice, sometimes if i call my house, I hear sounds like a fax machine, sometimes it sounds like someone has...

Your system has been programed by your alarm company for remote programing by their techical department. They can access your system to change codes, reset your system's time/date and do remote diagnostics. Most security system manufacturers allow this remote access by having the security system answer the telephone after so many rings, the security system then picks up and waits for a frequency tone from the security dealer's computer. Once this occurs the dealer can access your system. Your dealer may have to change the program settings if this is causing interference. A second possibility is do you have remote access to your system? Some systems have the ability for the home owner to remotely access their system from any outside telephone. This allows the customer to arm/disarm their system while away from home. This could be causing your problem.

Vector Sec says they got low batt signal from my home system

Open your alarm cabinet, inside is a battery. Replace it with the same sized battery. it is probably a 12V 7ah battery. You should be able to find one for less than $30 locally.
