Maybe it is lack of oil inside its bearing that causes noise and stop by high friction inside.

SOURCE: Loud humming noise as fridge is running

if you have ice buildup then the fridge may be low on freon.
or there is dust clogging around the pump or fan is not running.
remove the bottom or back and look around the compressor.
see that the fan is running.

SOURCE: The compressor motor runs for a short time then

you are suppose to have a multi meter and monitor the supply going to compressor, before the overload relay. if the voltage remains while it stop, your overload thus cutting the supply meaning it is overloaded. if the voltage is missing too, the problem is in the thermostat area.

There are about four different versions of your model. If you like I will send you the manual and we will work together as this refrigerator is very complex. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

I have had my wine fridge for 16 months & it was running all the time and it started making a loud clanking noise from the fan area. I haven't had it that long. What is causing this problem?

I would start by checking to see if anything is touching the fan blades. Believe it or not, mice typically get decapitated by them. Also wires can get in the way. However, About Appliance.com says: "Clicking, banging and knocking: These sounds can come from the compressor telling you there is a problem with it. Normally, it can make a whining or pulsating noise"

My Vintagekeeper Tuscany 220 wine fridge is making lots of unnecessary noise.

Hello, this is a common problem when parts start to wear in the motor. They rattle and clang allover the place, depending on age of fridge you can get the motor replaced and regassed. Or depending on age it may be time to replace the fridge. I hope this is of some use.
