Although there are Vax Carpet cleaner YouTube videos about changing belts, I can't narrow down which one might apply to you. That said, the Vax support page offers a way to drill down into manuals after you supply a serial number which they show you how to find. And they offer a chat as well.

I don't have a diagram for you as of yet, but I will continue to search for one. You will need to remove all the screws to the base housing of the machine. Lift the housing cover off, you should see the pump and the motor. From here you can see how everything is set up, from pump and motor to the spray jets which can become clogged from the little bit of debris the bypasses the filter screen. Which can also get lodged in the pump and motor but as well as the spray nozzles.
