SOURCE: Insignia PD10135 Portable DVD Player Battery won't work

I have the same unit, and had the same problem numerous times. I finally removed the battery and sprayed CRC electronic cleaner over the battery terminals as well as the units terminals. Put the battery back in hooked up the charger and it went green. It is playing as I write this.

How do i know when the dvd is charging?

When you first plug it in, the green led should flash for a few seconds. It will then go on solid green while charging. The green led turns off after it thinks the battery is fully charged. Not sure what it does with a defective battery but this is the basic charge sequence.

Need help charging my mintek dvd player battery

The way the battery is usually charged is by plugging it into the player and plugging the player into the a/c outlet. Do not use the player, Just allow the player to charge the battery. The way you tell if the charging is working is the light on the front will usually be a red color and it will be steady color or blinking while charging. When the battery is fully charged, the light will turn green or turn off . This lets you know that the battery has fully charged. To test this try using the dvd player on the battery only. Play a dvd or cd and see if the battery is working properly. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Portable DVD Player will not power up

This player should be charged up until the green light goes out to be fully charged. I usually leave them on over night.

CHARGING

Lulu1121 and guest, red means no charge and will remain red till its fully charge. Then it will turn to green. In fact, coby battery can be charge directly without the whole unit attached. But if on charge too long and still red, battery is dead, kaput, finish. some even show evidence when the casing is swollen...gel chemicals inside is swollen. The power supply that came with it is the only way you can use it...portability is out of the question.

Good Luck

Polaroid DVD Player won't charge.

I had the same problem, which I attributed to having the plug in a power strip. Once I plugged it directly into the wall socket, I haven't had a problem since.
