To get the paper tray out, remove the rear "door "from the all-in-one (and "carefully" lift the roller guide out of the way. Sometimes a finger works, but a pen is guaranteed to work. When the roller guide is out of the way the tray slides out verrry easily. When its not, the tray is nearly impossible to get out!
Note that the right-hand side of the tray has two inclined guide "ramps" that work as the tray is removed. Once you get the tray out place a "small!" amount of petroleum jelly on the rear ramp: works like a champ.

When removing the tray - turn off printer -
insert try with paper - turn on printer -
you should notice the blue paper meter moving. fixed
