Without knowing what the error message is, we can't guess what the fault is.

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-D411 receiver "Amp Error" message

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck

How do i fix amp error message on my pioneer AVH100dvd.

I have never heard of a display for an amp error on a car stereo, and I worked for Pioneer. Barring that, you can try to reset it(shown maybe in your owner's manual). If you are interested in a repair, please contact me on my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Amp error message on Pioneer DEH-15UB. Vehicle was jump started twice would this cause this problem? The receiver is not connected to an external amp. The radio/cd player will work for about two minutes...

I just had an "amp error" message display on my Pioneer DEH-15UB and it quit playing. No sound at all. It happened while I was driving my Jeep. When I got home I removed the passenger side speaker from the sound bar and found the previous owner had used a wood screw to hold the wire to the speaker. That screw came into contact with the metal roll bar and caused the error. When I installed ends on the wires the error message cleared itself and now works fine

Error code 02-66 when I try to use my ipod with my pioneer head unit

I fixed it! I had a working set up. I synced my iPod touch and update the software, then hooked it back upto my car stereo. I received error code 02-66. I disconnected the iPod and cable from the radio. Turned off the radio restarted the iPod. Turned radio back on with main menu displaying on iPod I hooked it back up to the Pioneer radio. Vuala! It works. Hope this helps.

Unit is always shutting down / turning off

Try first unplugging power cable for five minutes and using a different power outlet, if you still get the problem, the unit has a faulty power supply on the board inside.
