Hello,
That model number does not seem correct but error code F10 on the Electrolux ovens relates to a faulty power board. If that Serial is correct then it is still covered in the 12 months full warranty.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elec Range "Fire"...code f10

The F10 indicates that the electronic oven control board senses a runaway temperature condition in the oven through the oven sensor circuit.
This can be caused by a faulty oven temperature sensor probe or a failed electronic control board.
Oven temperature is detected by the control board as it monitors the resistance through the oven temperature sensor circuit.
You could have a failed oven temperature sensor, a wiring harness failure, an open thermal switch or a failed electronic oven control board that would cause this problem.
The first component to check would normally be the oven temperature sensor probe.
If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can shut off the breaker for the range and remove the screws that mount this sensor to the back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the wire harness into the oven cavity until you get to the wire harness disconnect plug.
You should have enough slack to pull it this far into the oven.
Disconnect the sensor but do not let the wire harness retract back through the back wall of the oven or it will be hard to reconnect.
Measure the resistance of the oven temperature sensor with your volt/ohm meter. At room temperature, the resistance should measure around 1100 ohms.
The resistance chart is shown in the image below.

If the resistance is above 2200 ohms at room temperature, then the sensor probe is causing the F10 error code and will need to be replaced.

You can order a new sensor probe from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the sensor is 316217002.

If the resistance is normal, then one of the other causes mentioned above is producing your F10 code.
You would need to access the electronic oven control board (Timer) in the console and check the resistance at the sensor circuit connection to the control board as the next step in troubleshooting this problem.

Hello,
The F10 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F10 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

SOURCE: oven elements will not shut off at set temperature.error code F10 appears

If you already tried disconnecting power to the oven for 20-30 minutes- and upon reconnecting it, get the same error code; then...

Either the electronic oven control board has gone bad or the oven temperature sensor has gone bad. There is also the possibility that the wires from the control board to the sensor has malfunctioned.

To start the troubleshooting process:
1.) Disconnect power to the oven
a.) Either by unplugging the stove from the electrical outlet OR
b.) Turning off the breaker (or removing the fuse) at the service panel
2.) Test the temperature sensor's resistance with an Ohm meter.
a.) This part is usually located on the back wall in the upper part of the oven cavity but it can be easy tested from the EOC.
b.) Locate the two pins in the plug at the EOC that are connected to the sensor. Measure the resistance between the wires connected to these pins. The normal reading at the room temperature is supposed to be about 1100 Ohms.
c.) If the reading is incorrect, remove the sensor from the oven and check its resistance at the sensor. If the reading at the sensor is the same as reading at the EOC plug, the sensor is defective.
d.) If the reading at the sensor is correct, the wire harness between the sensor and the control board is defective.
3.) If all of the above resistance values are in range, the electronic oven control board would need to be replaced.

My oven keeps giving the f10 code even though I have replaced the temp sensor and the oven relay panel. What's the next step? It's an electrolux #ew30es6cgw2. Tia

F10 - Runaway temperature. If these error codes shown while the oven is in day time mode, the EOC (electronic oven control) would need to be replaced. Otherwise check the oven temperature sensor (RTD sensor) as described earlier and replace if necessary.
Most of the EOCs incorporated power relays among all other components while some of ovens use a separate power relay board to simplify design and lower cost of production. You can determine it by visual EOC inspection and/or by the wiring diagram for your oven (if it is available). If there are some relays on it, replace the EOC. If there are no relays on the EOC, check the parts list (Search by the Model number) for the relay or power board. If there is a such part, replace it. I'll be glad to help you if any problems with the diagnostic. Just leave a comment on the bottom of the page. In such situation I'll need the complete model number of the oven.

Model 970-6874 oven overheated, couldn't shut it off. Had to turn breaker off. It read f10 ERR. Oven was so hot smoke detector was going

This oven was manufactured by Electrolux. However, you should double-check the model number. There should be two more digits in the number.

The F10 error indicates a run-away oven temperature. You need to unplug the oven or turn off the circuit breaker for at least 5 minutes to reset the error. Sometimes, the EOC (electronic oven control or main board) needs to be replaced. The oven temperature probe sensor may also be bad. This sensor can often be accessed through the oven; look for mounting screws on the inside back wall of the oven. Otherwise, you need to take off the back panel. The resistance across the sensor should read 1100 ohms (the wires to the sensor are usually violet). If you see a reading above 2000 ohms, replace the sensor. If the reading is 1100 ohms, then the control board is the part to replace. However, if the oven became too hot, the entire range need to be replaced. If your oven is under warranty, contact Sears for service.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the complete model number if you'd like help finding the parts for your range.

Electrolux oven f10 error code

Hello Mary, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Typically error code F10 indicates your range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). Let's try reprogramming your appliance by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn your range on. Usually this will clear most false error codes. If issue persists, at this moment I would suggest contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (electronic oven control) will need replacing. Hope this helps!

EW30IS6CJS model f11 error code. What does it mean ? Brand new appliance, has had it only for a month!

Hi Julie! Thanks for posting your concerns online. I would strongly recommend contacting Electrolux directly if you have not done so already. The unit is well within the warranty period and should really be diagnosed by a professional. The code you are experiencing typically indicates a control communication error. This can be between the unit's control board (brain) and the rest of the unit or the wiring harness itself that relays these communications.

Electrolux range error code f10

Hello - Typically error code F10 indicates a variety of issues. The range could possibly have a runaway temp (higher than normal temps), shorted keypad, faulty EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or, display wire harness missing/not connected. Usually, these codes mean to replace the EOC. You may be able to reset the range by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to 30 seconds. This will clear most false error codes. You can disconnect power by either unplugging the unit or flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. If resetting the unit proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

The F10 F11 F12 F13 F14 Error Codes indicate that the electronic oven control board senses a runaway temperature condition in the oven through the oven sensor circuit.
