Hi, guys we bought a Acer 5536, everything is working, accept the blu ray part, it plays normal dvd's and cd's, but for some odd reason no blu ray disc's, it doesn't respond at all. I just did the acer duluxe update. Everything seems in order accept for the blu ray disc part. Could you please provide me with some help... Cheers
If you look at the sticker, you see a small astrix beside the blu-ray bit....then look top right of the sticker and it says *specifications vary depending on model...chances are you dont have the right spec and actually didnt get it. the acer aspire 5536 is one example, sorry
Hi, I have a 5536, Although they have Blu ray on the sticker, they do not have a blu ray player. Sorry.
That's because the region codes of DVD player on your Acer computer and DVD disc not match. In this case, you need to use Leawo Blu-ray Copy to make the copy to region-free.
Leawo Blu-ray Copy is one of the best Blu-ray copy software to copy and back up Blu-ray/DVD/ISO files to hard drive or blank Blu-ray/DVD disc. This Blu-ray Copy software could help preserve your Blu-ray/DVD discs and keep them away from damages. The most importantly, it can remove region code and copy protection from your original disc.
Blu-ray drive is one of the most important parts in the blu-ray playback. But the blu-ray player also plays an inportant role. Actually, currently PCs will not require new Blu-ray drives to playback 4K Blu-ray disc. The current firmware configuration of PCs could satisfy 4K Blu-ray playback. What PCs need to play Blu-ray 4K movies is 4K Blu-ray player software that supports 4K Blu-ray disc playback (Leawo Free Blu-ray Player already does this).
Once your computer has no problem in playing 4K Blu-ray disc, the only thing you need to play Blu-ray 4K disc is the best Blu-ray player software.
To play Blu-ray movies, a Blu-ray drive is not all you need to have. A Blu-ray drive is the hardware preparation. On the software wise, you also need a Blu-ray player application installed on your computer, such as Leawo Blu-ray Player
You can check on this tutorial to see how to play Blu-ray on Acer laptop:
Acer Laptop Won't Play Blu-ray? Solved
Maybe your drive doesn't support Blu-ray at all. Get an external Blu-ray drive. That way you can watch and even rip Blu-ray to your computer. In case you need it, here's how to rip Blu-ray discs to your PC or laptop: 2 Solutions to Rip and Convert Blu Ray Disc to Laptop
Blu-ray disks require Blu-Ray players only. Blu-Ray will NOT play on a normal DVD player. Seems like your dvd player is NOT Blu-Ray.
