Once you snap in the catridge you have to put the back of the p-touch back on. After that you can feed through the tape by pressing Code Space. If the back of your P-touch is not on it will not advance through.... I learned the hard way :) Hope it helps you all.

www.brother.de/display.cfm/id/116803 is the manual in German. Not ideal but perhaps better than nothing.

I don't have an instruction booklet for the P-Touch 1100 and I need to change settings for different size letter sizes. are you able to email me an instruction manual.
