Question about Toro Garden

I have a Toro zero turn. My steering handles are a little loose and hit and/or overlap in the middle. How do I adjust this? I found instruction for lowering and raising but nothing more.

Tighten the arm pivot bolt. Visit WWW.TORO.COM and navigate to "parts and manuals", enter your model number, select model, and further navigate to parts diagrams.

If you cant find the diagrams, comment here and I'll post a copy of steering arm diagram.

Hello,
I had the same problem but was able to solve it by shimming the scope mounts with a thin piece of plastic. Put it under the rear to raise the sighting and under the front to lower. I still plan to buy my son a better scope.

Bosch has a technical bulletin to address this problem, it requires the adding of shim washers under the gear and above the hex nut. If you are still having a problem let me know and I will get part numbers for you.

Mx5050 toro zero turn mower, one drive arm more dominant than the other. With both arms all the way forward the mower slightly turns to the left. Any adjustments to correct this issue?

1st with mover off verify that both handles move same amount forward , I use a string to measure them , they both have mechanical stops that do bend and move sometimes
second locate control body valve , (thing that handles connect too) there should be a pump pressure adjust (allen key) on the side of this your gonna need to make small adjustments and try it , is difficult to do if you don't have a lift to elevate wheels of mower (but is possible without ) but takes patience

What bolts do i tighten on the steering? Went to a tire shop and they said that it is loose.

depends on the make and model of your vehicle. in general (most vehicles) there is an adjustment on the steering box. look for a large nute with an allen head set screw in the middle of it, place an allen head wrench on the adjustment screw to ensure it doesnt move and break the set nut free, turn the adjustment screw down one half of a turn and re tighten the set nut. go test drive you car around the block, repeat as necessary. me sure not to over tight/over adjust your steering box, this will cause your car to handle dangerously ans easily loose control. if this process doesnt cure the issue check for a worn rag join and universal joint on the steering pillar. also check for worn out bushings, pitman arms, drag links, track bars and tie rod ends

Engine will stall when levers are moved from park position to center unlock position.

You didn't mention if the same thing happens engauging the mower deck. If it does both, start with the carb and choke. also, check out the safety switch on the steering handles for a loose wire or a ground short. This should be fairly easy.

Go in reverse

The steering levers control all movement on a zero-turn mower. Just slowly pull both handles back evenly and you'll go backwards in a straight line. The farther you pull back the levers the faster it goes backwards.

check the brake cable that goes to the flywheel, you may have something loose or broken. the lever on the handle you press to crank it may have come loose from the cable. it may be loose at the end under the cover also. some have adjustments some don't.
