SOURCE: manual for free spirit model 30516

it comes from sears , this brand is built in jonesboro ,and is not a top of the line brand but does what most other treadmills do , you can probably go to sears and see if they have a treadmill like your in the showroom and then ask a salesman if the sears service center carries theese manuals or maybe he can tell you where to get one , their is no volume control on theese machines for the beep , but if you locate the sound holes which are most likely on the bottom of the display board you can use a piece of ductape and cover this speaker to make it less noisy ,Hope this has helped ,Sincerely glenn

SOURCE: need a manual for a free spirit treadmill club

Your best luck might be to search on PDFGeni.com. They have a selection of PDF manuals for hard-to-find TM's. Yours was sold at Sears for several years (they might still make it; not sure).

SOURCE: new free spirit treadmill - L5 code what does it mean?

Yeah - the sensor is the problem... It is magnetic... You can find it next to the wheel on the belt - It is fairly small.... There is a metal disc in the wheell on the belt that is a magnet.. As it passes by the sensor - the sensor registers the magnet and can simply calculate speed based on the frequency of the passes... Sometimes the sensor slides too far back and ergo can`t register the magnet passing by - Then you get the L5 error...

Free Spirit Treadmill 8 - 9 yrs. old. 6hp motor. Was working fine last time used. Went to use it & #70 was on display when powered up. Speed does not match displayed speed. Used to top out at 11.5 now...

Your treadmill is working correctly, but it is not reading in miles, but in kilometers... 3MPH=4.8KPH.
Check your owners manual for instructions to change this setting. I believe you need to depress the speed up button while inserting the safety key, but I am a bit rusty with these machines..

I have a Spirit SR-918 treadmill. running at 3.2 m, Stops and trips circuit breaker any where from 5 to 25 minutes.Had same problem in 2007, walking belt, deck and motor bushings replace. Put $500 into it...

We also have a Spirit SR 918. It may be the lower or upper boards powering the motor that malfunctioned.

We need a particular part replaced on it, other than those boards, so if you still have not trashed the unit, have replaced it, or are thinking about disposing of the unit, we will pick it up. We are in Chicago, as well.

It will cost us between $125 to $499 to replace our treadmill, but it is so heavy duty, that it comes down to finding the parts, since additional labor will come out even.

Treadmill powers off when pressing Incline Increase "br 1" error

You may have a beltand deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the poweron stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant between the belt & deck to see if that clears up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time
