It is WiFi only, you could use an Access Point device or a router to provide WiFi to the Portal unit

To logon to myUnisa account, go the student portal using myunisa.ac.za/portal. By the top right corner, you'll see a tab to log in with your student number/user id and password.

Can this PC be converted to wireless? If so how? House has wireless thru AT&T. The original ethernet connect portal died. Already jerrymandered a second portal and that has now also gone dead.

The only way for making it wireless is buying a wireless network card/adapter that can be installed in your Desktop. You should look for a PCI/PCI Express Wireless Network Adapter.

Ethernet portal on pc -does not light when powered on no communication from pc to modem/router or straight to monitor

Two possibilities:
1) Your BIOS is not configured properly, in which case you would need to enter your CMOS setup at boot (usually by pressing the DELETE key, F2, or another key), and enabling the ethernet port.

2) If that is not the problem, your ethernet port has failed, and you would have to replace the motherboard.

Good luck!

Facebook blocked in ma college

Hi

Not a problem. There are hundreds of proxy sites through which you can connect to Facebook. Depending on the type of block the company are using,eg, wild card-resulting in the word facebook anywhere in your url, blocking conection. So basicly what you the want is encrypted url.

Try some of the below wesites. All you do is enter the below urls into your browser and on the site that opens, enter www.facebook.com. This will encrypt this url and you can surf facebook freely.

Hope this helps.
