SOURCE: trucks heats up really quick, after

I think you have a blown head gasket, getting oil in the water is an indication of this. Oil pressure is higher than water pressure in the engine. However you should also check the thermostatic fan clutch, when the engine heats up it should activate and the fan should run the same RPM as the engine, when cold it should free wheel. Hope this helps, let me know.

How do I wire old Fedders single stage heat pump to modern smart thermostat? No aux heat.

Don, the best thing to do is see if there is a unit wiring diagram, if so, then trace out the wires connected to V,F,H,C,T,and X to determine what function they perform.

1990 lincoln town car 5.0 heater won't heat, but the fan and the air conditioner works fine, a new radiator was installed also before i bought it...engine don't seem very hot ..????

If the engine is not getting up to normal temp, I would replace the thermostat. Both heater hoses have to be hot to get heat inside the car.

HE heat pump won't talk with old air handler?

The fact is, the air handler supplies the voltage, blower, and electric heat. In order for the heat pump to work correctly, the wiring from the thermostat and heat pump need to be hooked up right to the air handler. The thermostat is what tells which component to come on. If the fan stops, but the condenser keeps going, you either have a faulty fan relay on the air handler, faulty thermostat or wiring, faulty wiring at the heat pump, or the contacts on the new unit are sticking, which is highly doubtful considering it is working now. I hope I have helped you understand this a little more. Good luck and don't let them push you around, get someone that knows what they are looking at.

Taken to long to dry

IF ELECTRIC

Check the following areas thoroughly to address this issue.

1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.

Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.

2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.

3. Heating element
A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes. Replace the element if found defective.

IF GAS

HI, Check the following to address this issue further.

Note: Normal drying time for a dryer is about 45 minutes (some may take up to an hour).

Thermostat problem

Buy some more thermostat cable with the same number of conductors inside it that you need. Twist the wires in the wall to the conductors on the new cable you just bought. Wrap the connections with electrical tape and pull the new cable with the old cable, starting at the furnace. You will then have all brand new conductors to fit to your new thermostat.
