Your ultrasound machine has a problem communicating with a hard drive or another device on the SCSI bus. If it uses SCSI as an interface, then it is a pretty old piece of equipment Recommend you refer this to a qualified technician.

I have fujitsu 4120c and it doesnot work,it have error 8.can anybody help me

Hi,

Error code 8 means the SCSI fuse is blown off. This alarm is detected during initial processing immediately after power-on.

Probable causes:
- Defective SCSI cable
- Other SCSI device malfunction

Check if the SCSI cable or other SCSI devices connected to the scanner cause this error. The scanner can work even after this error occurs.

If the issue persists, you may have to contact Authorised Fujitsu Engineer to rectify the error.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.

We are not able to get our Fujitsu fi-5120C out of status 8. We've turned it on/off unplugged it changed one of the pads (as it was bent). We left it alone for a day and it's still not working. Do you have...

Hello,

Thank you for contacting FixYa.

Please clarify if the error is E8 or some different error. E8 error indicates that SCSI fuse is blown. When 5V, 3.3V fuse is blown, the scanner does not turn on and E8 error is displayed. Check the SCSI fuse status. The SCSI fuse is located in the Control PCA marked as TH2. This alarm is detected during initial processing immediately after power-on.

Probable causes:
- Defective SCSI cable. #Check the SCSI cable status.
- Other SCSI device malfunction. #Check the SCSI device.

1. Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner?
To check, press power button of the scanner for more than 2 seconds to turn it OFF, and after more than 2 seconds elapse, press the power button to turn the scanner ON.

2. Check if the SCSI cable or other SCSI devices connected to the scanner cause this error. The scanner can work even after this error occurs. However, to remove this error you may have to replace the Control PCA.

Hope the above information will be helpful.

Please revert if you have further queries.

Thanks & regards,

TechSatya
