you can search for a password boot disk which will disable the administrator password.
There are dozens of these types of programs but one program I recommend is windows password reset 6.0
http://www.resetwindowspassword.com
Download the iso file and burn it to a disk to create the boot disk,

that simple. Configure your pc or laptop to boot in the cd drive,

insert the CD and it would boot then just disable the password and
restart.
Took about 5 minutes for the whole process.

What to do ,can't log on password required

You can salvage your old user account by logging on as the "Administrator" user. Once you're logged in as the admin, you can reset your old user password. The Administrator user (by default) is similar to a "superuser" and has the highest access level to reset any user password.
If you don't know what your Administrator password is, you can reset that by rebooting into Safe Mode.
The best option here is to reset your account password. You can do this using either 1 of the 2 methods suggested by Microsoft Knowledge Base article #321305. In my opinion, the second method described on this page is most likely the easiest route: Reboot Windows in Safe Mode. Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK: control userpasswords2 Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password. Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK.
Good luck!
Side note: To access Safe Mode, Click Start -> Shutdown (or Turn Off), and choose 'Restart'. Once the computer restarts, press F8 repeatedly on the keyboard until a Boot Menu appear (this *must* be done before the Windows boot screen appears). Finally, choose to boot Windows in Safe Mode and press Enter on the keyboard.

You can reset a lost or "forgot Windows password" with 4 methods below:
1. Another valid administrator account which can normally log on.
2. A password reset disk or a repair disc, which is created in advance ( before you lost password ).
3. Third-party software to create a bootable password reset CD/DVD or USB, like "Windows Password Breaker".
4. Re-install. Will lose data.

When you forgot Windows password, did you feel confused that why you cannot reset the forgotten Windows password via standard user or guest account? The answer is very simple as the standard user and guest accounts do not have rights to reset the password of another accounts. Within the three types of Windows user accounts, only the administrator account allows you to change another accounts' password. So if you want to reset Windows password of another accounts, you need to change your account type to administrator firstly. Moreover, if you need to give a user more access to perform tasks like installing software or other system changes, you also need to change your account type.

Steps to Change Windows User Account Type

1. Log on your Windows machine with an administrator account.

2. Click "Start" - "Control Panel" - "User Accounts and Family Safety" - "User Accounts".

3. Click "Manage another account".

4. Click on the user account that you would like to change its type.

5. On the following window, click "Change the account type" from on the left pane.

6. Select Administrator and click "Change Account" Type to finish your operation.

Since the standard user account turn to an administrator one, you can reset Windows password of another accounts or do other operations without limitation through control panel.

You can change standard user to administrator only when you can log on your computer with an available administrator account. If you forgot Windows password of all administrator accounts, you'll need to reset Windows administrator password even you can access your computer with a standard user or guest account.

Software Windows Login Recovery allows you to create a password reset disk with blank CD/DVD or USB flash drive. With the disk you can reset Windows password to be empty in few minutes. With it, you'll never be worried when you forgot Windows password. All you need to do is just three steps.

1. Download and install Windows Login Recovery.

2. Burn a password reset disk with a blank CD/DVD or USB flash drive.

3. Reset Windows password to be empty.

Now you can log on to your computer without passwords. By the way, you can reset any account's password with this software.

Something about Windows User Accounts

Administrator: A administrator account is intended for someone who can make system wide changes to the computer, install software, and access all non-private files on the computer. Only with administrator rights you can full access to other user accounts on the computer, change other their names, passwords, and types.

Standard user: The standard user account can help protect your computer by preventing users from making changes that affect everyone who uses the computer. When you log on to Windows with a standard user account, you can do anything that you can do with an administrator account. But if you want to install software or hardware, reset Windows password of another accounts, etc. the computer might ask you to provide a password of an administrator account.

Guest: A Guest account allows people to use your computer without having rights to access to any of your personal files. This can be useful if you want to quickly allow someone to use your computer. A person that log on computer with guest account cannot install software or hardware, change system settings, or create a password.

I forgot password

Passwords are made to NOT be worked around.
However, You can try booting into Safe Mode but you may still need a password to enter your "User Account". In that case you should be able to log in under the default Administrator account. Unless you've changed that password as well, the default should be either admin or administrator. Once into safe mode you can create a new User account and make it an Administrator account.
Unfortunately anything that you had stored in "My Documents" is going to be inaccessable to the new User account.

How to recover forgotten admin password for windows xp ?

Option 1: If the user you have is an administrator account, go to the control panel and select user accounts. When you are in user accounts, find the account you want to remove the password from and you will see the option there.

Option 2: If your user is NOT administrative, you can use ERD commander to reset it. You basically burn ERD onto a CD and it will boot when you restart. There is a program called Locksmith that will remove or change the password for you.
