To verify if it is indeed a a failed new stat. Take the white wire and red and wire nut together at the stat. Red-R/RC, white-w, yellow-y, green-g. Verify this is how it’s wired on the board of the furnace as well. If it fires and runs with the wires nutted together you could have one a few problems going on. 1) failed new stat (dont happen often and I’ve been doing HVAC/R for 15+ years.) 2) break in wiring going to furnace. 3) stat programming may not be correct.

SOURCE: Trying to replace honeywell T8001C thermostat with

Red is usually hot side of transformer, yellow is for the a/c compressor, white is for heater, green is for the blower fan,now the blue could be energize for heat or the common side for the transformer, brown can also be the common side of the transformer. It sounds like you need the blue wire connected to the common side for the thermostat....but be careful. Some units use this as a energize wire and are not a common. I would find out what furnace model you have then look online and double check what this wire is or you could damage the new thermostat and/or the 24 volt system on your fau. And also always have the power to the unit disconnected so you do not ground a circuit.

SOURCE: No Heat with new White Rodgers 1f85rf-275 Thermostat

The only way to resolve this problem and to distingush if its a thermostat issue on the system is to by pass the thermostat by putting a jumper between the hotwire and the heating wire if the system did run which happen most of the time. Call the HVAC technician to check your heating unit. Or call the White- Rodgers technical line at 18887259797 choose contrator division.

SOURCE: replaced thermostat, heater core and still no heat

the dommed part of the T-stat goes up, it won't go in backwards as memory serves me, what u almost certainly have going on here is the Air temperature control electric bend door actuator s defective, and the door is stuck in the cold air position in the heating/ac duct, to replace this the dash must be removed from the car..

SOURCE: RCA Model RMW700 micorwave 1 yr old stopped

There is a fuse inside the cover of the microwave. You will need to remove the outer shell and follow the power cord you will see an inline fuse. This fuse can be purchased at any appliance parts house.

Hope this helped

I have a black wire on my old thermostat that went to the c terminal my new Honeywell rth2300b does not have a c terminal any ideas which one I should put it to

Cover the bare end of the C wire with electrical tape so that it doesn't contact any of the other wires or parts of the Honeywell thermostat. The C wire carries continuous power from the red wire to some thermostats; this is required for some of the Smart thermostats (with the ability to communicate with your wireless computer network).

The installation directions for the thermostat include how to handle the C wire when installing the RTH2300B. You can find the manual on the product page in several places, including the Honeywell product site: https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/5-2-day-programmable-thermostat-honeywell-rth2300b.htm . The direct link to the manual is https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/images/pdf/rth2300b1012-u-5-2-day-programmable-thermostat.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I am trying to install a Honeywell RTH2300B thermostat. I can't get the wiring. I have a red, blue orange, green, yellow, brown and white wire and B, O, G, Y, W, Not Used, R, and RC terminals. Can

what type of system are you wiring it to???? for general info b and o are used if heat pump system, g =fan (blower), Y =cooling (ac), W=heat, R and rc are 24v feed to stat, do not use rc if system does not have cooling. if it does and 24v is from one source then connect fed to r and install jumper between r and rc . you list wire colors you must identify where they are connected at other end.

Old thermostat missing Rh/Rc

No. cap the c and don't use. R goes to rc. Your new tstat requires batteries and the old did not.

My 9 year old Honeywell T8001C has no display. My FAU AC power breaker is not tripped. I tried a new Honeywell RTH2510B and a RTH7500D but the Fan does not come on with either of the new units after...

This is why battery powered tstats are misleading. The battery provides the power to the tstat but your unit is not providing low voltage in order to run. Air conditioners are controlled by relays and contactors. This means your unit constantly has high voltage going to it but each component runs through a relay in order to turn on. These relays are energized by the low voltage that runs through your tstat. Your tstat is not getting this low voltage. Either your float switch on your drain line is tripped, your blade style fuse is blown on the secondary side of the transformer or your transformer is bad.

I just purchased RTH2300B, Connected R w/R, G w/G, W w/W and Y w/Y left out Blue wire that is connected to Furnace on C. No heat comes out just cool air. Need help; frizzing

you the same person last night that posted .... my understanding is that you had a different type of thermostat originally with more wires on the old thermostat correct? from your post last night you have a heat pump system and this rth2300b thermostat is a straight cool straight heat thermostat... does it have batteries on the new one and does the new one not have a "c" terminal" post again what exactly was on the old thermostat color of wires going to what terminals on the old thermostat.. then tell me what you have for the new thermostat we can get you some heat... at worst case you should be able to jump out the red wire with the white wire at the thermostat and the heat should come on...you just will not be able to shut off without taking the wires apart but can get the house warm...
