Plant in a decent sized pot for root base to form. Put acorn in soil...1-2" deep. Keep soil moist and in sun 4-6 hours a day. In 6-10 weeks you should have a stem growing out of dirt. Grow in pot until strong enough to plant in ground.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD: DO NOT GRAZE OR CUT FOR STOCK FOOD FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. HARVEST WITHHOLDING PERIOD NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED. RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING HERBICIDE I GROUP Apparent Ravage Herbicide contains members of the Benzoic acid and Phenoxy groups of herbicides. Apparent Ravage Herbicide has the disrupters of plant cell growth mode of action. For herbicide resistance management Apparent Ravage Herbicide is a Group I Herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Apparent Ravage Herbicide and other Group I Herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if Apparent Ravage Herbicide or other Group I Herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by Apparent Ravage Herbicide or other Group I Herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Apparent Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Apparent Ravage Herbicide to control resistant weeds. MIXING DIRECTIONS: Add the required amount of the product directly to the tank and mix well. APPLICATION: For Boom Application: Apply by a properly calibrated boom spray using not less than 50 Litres of water per hectare unless indicated otherwise in Critical Comments column. For Aerial Application: Apply at least 25 Litres total spray volume per hectare. The aircraft should fly as low as practical under the prevailing conditions to minimise drift. For High Volume Application: Apply a minimum 1500 Litres per hectare. For Knapsack Application: A 15 Litre Knapsack treats 150 square metres. Note: Spray when weeds are young and actively growing. A temporary wilting may be evident in crops after application. If seasonal conditions are unusually late or dry, seek further advice as damage may result from spraying under these conditions. Growers should seek advice before spraying recently released cereal varieties. There is a nil tolerance of pea seed contaminates in cereal grain and less than 100% control of Volunteer Peas could result in dockage. COMPATIBILITY: Apparent Ravage Herbicide is compatible with Flowable Igran*.

I have two heritage live oaks. The larger one is surrounded by tree seedling about 5 ft. Around the base. My grass can't grow there. How do I prevent and remove these?

Hello, Carolyn -

The lack of grass growing around your Heritage Live Oak trees is most likely due to the shade from the trees themselves.

As for the oak seedlings, see the question and answer here from the National Gardening Association:

Best wishes.
