The fault lights are blinking. No audio

The fault lights are blinking. No audio output.
How can we troublshoot?

Have read the fault conditions, but not sure how to determine which condition it is.

If the amp is going into protect without audio passing it could very well be an internal short. In this case audio typically won't pass at line level. Have you tried turning the input gain stage knobs all the way down as well as the source material and slowly creep the volumes up? If it takes some audio before it faults you may want to double check the load you are placing on the amp's outputs. I'm assuming at this point it doesn't matter what speakers you are hooking it up too, it still crashed on you. Remember that Audio can be measured in voltage as well so you can measure the outputs of the amp with a volt-ohm meter.

There is no sound

Confirm there is power in the wall socket and that the mains cable of the Acoustimass Module is OK,then check if the Boselink audio cable is inserted firmly into the zone1 output of the Media Center and the input of the Acoustimass Module.Turn the Acoustimass Module upside down and power the system,if led indicator blinks orange, the Acoustimass Module is faulty but if it blinks an intermittent but regular green light, the fault could be from the audio cable or Media Center.Only a qualified Bose Technician can handle this kind of fault

Blinking red light rx-v575

It means the its faulty and it has an intelligent fault detector that helps the equioment to protect on its own, a technician will help you diagnose the fault, check amp module(output ic/transistors)

Marantz sr6001 stanby blinking

It is possible that the amplifier had encountered a fault with a higher current drain which had triggered it to a protection fault condition. The fault can be with your output drivers. Please check for short on the outputs fitted for both the channels. Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise which can be a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation. You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board. Maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias or there is a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the amplifier comes out of the protect mode then check for short on the speakers.

D4 light on no matter what gear i'm in. 95 Honda Accord LX 4-cylinder. Already replaced solinoid, speedometer, fan,

The D4 light is coming on to tell you that there is one or more fault codes set in your transmission control module. The only way to retrieve codes on the 1995 models is to read "Flash Codes" output by the D4 light. (See instructions below)

RETRIEVING FLASH CODES USING THE D4 LIGHT
If fault codes are present, the D4 light will "blink" when the ignition is turned to the RUN position and will remain on at all times when the engine is running.
To retrieve the flash codes, turn the ignition switch off.
Install a jumper wire between the service check connector terminals.
The service check connector is a gray, 2-pin connector located on the PCM/TCM cover under the passenger side of the instrument panel. (See picture below)

CAUTION: DO NOT use the 3-pin located next to the service check connector.

Installing the jumper will place the PCM/TCM in diagnostic test mode.
Turn the ignition to the RUN position. Codes will be output by blinking the D4 light.
Note the number of blinks from the D4 light. A short blink indicates a single digit flash code. A long blink equals 10 short blinks. For instance one short blink indicates code 1. One long blink and four short blinks indicates code 14. If there is more than one fault code, they will be output one at a time from the lowest numbered code to the highest numbered code. It is recommended that you read the code or codes several times to make sure that you are reading it correctly.

Once you have retrieved the fault code(s) re-post your question and include the information for what codes you have and someone can then help you locate the cause of the problem.

POWER ON, DROPS BLINKING STANDBY LITE ON

It is not so easy to probe into to find a protection fault condition. The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes.
If so replace the outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board, maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias , maybe a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the protect is off then check for short on the speakers.

My 2005 Jag S-Type 6 cylinder check engine light came on and while in parked position the check engine light started to blink yellow and stated "Restricted Performance" what does that mean?

You have a fault condition in the the engine management system - get the codes read to indicate where the fault lies ... It is probably just a faulty sensor as this is the most common cause of check engine warnings. The restricted performance condition is meant to protect the engine or components from damage, so don't panic - get the codes read - its probably not as bad as you expect. hope this helps - good luck.

My Sony Music system DVX MP3 is not getting on when the power button on the music system/remote is pressed. The red light is blinking. Please let me know what is the problem?

Possible that the output is short as the protect is shutting off the system.
remove off the speakers and try once again.. If not remove plug and keep aside to reset or try to depress menu/select while power plug is put into.
If the fault satys you will have to disconnect the output, power to sub circuits and check if the set triggers.
Make sure the mP IC gets voltage and reads remote signals.

Tv wont turn on get audio then tv shuts off timer lite blinking

If TV stays in stand by with audio but no video, then common faults are the ballast board, or a fault on digital board.

If the led stays blinking , and tv turns off then the TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

With the receiver off, press ENTER + ADVANCED SURROUND keys continuously for 2 sec. and it will tell you the fault it encountered. Even if it has a short, it will still protect the speakers; however, it is still a good idea to disconnect all speakers before doing this.
