Miracle mate power head not getting power

Most likely you have a broken wire in the neck assembly, where the wand meets the floor nozzle. To check unplug the cord and remove wand from floor nozzle. On the neck, remove 3 small screws and slide the cover off the back of the neck. You will see 2 wires, one white and one black. Gently tug on each to see if if they are connected. If one is loose you have the problem, if not you will then have to remove the five screws that hold the cover on the nozzle body and trace the connection to the circuit board.

Water solution does not come out--is something plugged

It could also be due to the brush assembly channels being clogged. Remove the brush assembly and clean channels by running under warm tap water.
To clean the brush assembly/nozzle, turn cleaner off and disconnect from electrical outlet. Slide the two nozzle release latches outward. Remove the nozzle by pulling straight out. Rinse nozzle under running water. Remove debris from squeegee and wipe with a damp cloth. Using finger grips on the brush assembly, pull straight out. The brush assembly can be washed with a mild detergent and rinsed. Do not use pine or solvent-based detergents.
To replace nozzle, make sure latches are out. Align middle section of nozzle with opening on cleaner. While holding nozzle in place, slide latches inward to lock in place.

Make sure your solution tank is full and securely locked in position.

Lastly, if this fails, you can contact the Hoover Service Center by calling 1-800-944-9200 for an automated referral of authorized service outlet locations (U.S. only).

I CAN'T SEEM TO INSTALL A NEW UB8 BELT

  1. Remove the lower plate
  2. Carefully lift up on the agitator assembly until it clears both sides of the nozzle housing.
    repagita.png
  3. Remove the belt from the motor shaft by sliding it off between the end of the shaft and the nozzle housing.
3.4.2 Installation
  1. Place the belt around the motor shaft.
  2. Start the new agitator assembly back into the nozzle housing by placing the side opposite the belt partially into the slot. This will hold the agitator in place and leave both hands free to place enough tension on the belt to allow that side of the agitator to return to the nozzle housing slot.
    repagitb.png
  3. Place the belt around the agitator pulley on the agitator assembly.
NOTE: There is a place for the belt to fit on one end of the agitator assembly only. This is the agitator pulley.
  4. Use both hands to pull the belt tight, and slide the agitator assembly firmly into the slots on each end of the nozzle housing.
    repagitc.png
  5. Rotate the agitator assembly by hand to insure nothing rubs and to check for correct assembly.
  6. Replace the lower plate
