You need to ask HP, that, it's laptop right?
is this and HP ENVY notebook????
Pavilion notebook?
we need the PCs service tag product number,
15 means nothing, ever.
the number may end in #ABA! mine all do.
tell that and HP can help.
The newer the PC the more hard this becomes

hp 15 is not the full model name:
example #1, the service tag is read first, then told what it is. (wild example #1)
HP 15-bs031wm then go here and ask HP, what to do. notebooks

BIOS PW lost. (next time do not use this unless work for CIA/DOD ,etc)

HP has fix, call them, online lots of $scalpers, sell it.

The year the HP laptop was made also changes the answer.
Here are the historical evolution of HP PW.:!
1: long ago jumpers on the motherboard.(kids stuff)
2: then coded, eeprom PW chip used, and backdoor PW that HP tells you after you enter PW blank 3 times.
you see code only you have and HP tells the new PW.
3: then TPM chips and UEFI, the new age. (hard nut )
only HP can cure those PERIOD. Not scalpers..

4: also what you turned on in bios can also make this worse. like fingerprint logins, etc...
I own and HP8540w that can get in 3 ways. 2010 made.
finger print swipe
and the magic intel way me answering 3 questions.
what you have NOBODY KNOWS what you turned on...

that be first after posting your service tag.
that tag.
here ill beg for your tag... sad no?
HP moved the service tags many times
easy see on bottom then on laptops, in the battery well battery out. and last no tags at all , only seen in BIOS screen 1. (now locked out ouch)

see hp 17 here, the letters after the number matter.
the product number matters most. !!!!

HP is not dead, ask them first.
do not ask or respond to scalpers seen here.
nor pay them $100 and then the cure fails.

    here is
    it is the real thing.!

New laws in effect in USA and in EU.
force the OEM to make you prove you own the PC first, and ban hacks. all by law now.
    OK consider that first.
and how that helps hackers get rich.(scalping)
best is not to use BIOS passwords, or land HERE.

    go there and ask.
or learn to post your service tag data.

for old PCs the hacker page is here

most exe you find will be virus infected.
    so avoid those.
    pwGen-123xyz.exe , ouch.

SOURCE: Administrator Password for BIOS lost

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:
In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.
Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

B. By Using Software:

I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds
