E-Machines Emachine T5026 power supply ** FREE SHIPPNG ** (EM12EB324PIN) Power Supply Logo
Posted on Sep 18, 2009

I have a T3626 emachine that I replaced the drive.

I have a T3626 emachine that I replaced the hard drive. When I press the start button, the fan goes on but nothing happens - No light or boot up. I am wondering if the power supply needs to be replaced. The fan continues to run until I remove the power cord from the back

Check all your ground screws on the motherboard. If that doesn't work try booting it up with out the hard drive. if that doesn't work, pop out the BIOS battery and unplug your computer, let it sit for about a min. and put the battery back in and restart.

Diagram emachine wiring

There is no specific wiring for eMachine. your wiring goes from power supply (big box with fan) to motherboard (large board with many components) to hard drive, cd rom, fan, etc. pretty easy to figure out if you look closely

Emachines D4362 starts only after many button pushes

Sounds like you might have corrupt window system files or the machine might not be recognizing the hard drive.
Press the DEL button to go into the BIOS. Go to the section that shows you the hard drive. If it doesn't show you a hard drive model and shows none then your hard drive is bad and would need to be replaced. If your hard drive is recognized in the BIOS then you'll need to try and reinstall windows. If you can't get windows reinstalled then the hard drive is bad at that point as well.

Emachine t3626 internet port can it be replaced

Absolutely!

The Ethernet port on your eMachines is part of the motherboard.
It is attached directly to the motherboard.

The eMachines T3626 Desktop PC, is supposed to use an
ECS MCP61-P (AM2) motherboard. (Cannot verify)
(Elitegroup Computer Systems. (AM2) refers to the processor socket )

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MotherBoard-eMachines-T3626-T5062-T5234-W3622-/320528791641

(Also scroll down for a larger photo of the motherboard )

The Ethernet port is in the group signified by the letter A, on the left.
The group signified by the letter A, is in the I/O area.

Input/Output area. This is where Input, and Output devices are attached, TO the motherboard. (Using the motherboard's chipset)

Now look down the motherboard, to the two long white slots.
These are PCI slots. Signified by the letter I ( i )
If one of these slots is not being used, plug in an Ethernet Card, that is PCI.

If both of these PCI slots are being used, use the small white slot above them, signified by the letter H.

This is a PCI-Express x1 slot. If it is available, use it.
Use an Ethernet Card designed to fit, in a PCI-Express x1 slot.

Example;

PCI Ethernet Adapter Card,

PCI-Express x1 Ethernet Adapter Card,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106033

[ Note*
The PCI-Express x16 slot that you have, (Orange in color, above the white PCI-Express x1 slot), is for a graphics card.

It is ONLY for a graphics card.
The PCI-Express x1 slot is NOT used for a graphics card ]

For additional questions please post in a Comment.
(If you would like the proper procedure for installing a Ethernet Adapter Card, in your eMachines T3626, also state in a Comment)

My T3626 will only run the fan and the monitor. Thought it was the power supply and purchased a new replacement. Not it! Is this possibly the hard drive? Before I go out and spend what little money I...

try to use only the 24pins or main power connectors and ATX 12volts and without connecting all your hard drives. try to power it. try to use another memory RAM too. second steps try to reset your bios. not successful you have to chage you mother board.

EMachines t3626 shuts down at random

You may be dealing with bad or overheating with your processor or memory. If possible, try swapping out your memory chips to see if that does the trick. If not, you will have to try swapping out the processor (much less likely you'll be able to swing that).

Emachine wont start

remove all external and internal peripherls.

example for external: mouse, monitor, keyboard, printer.

Internal: hard drive, memory modules, video cards, modem (if there's any), optical drive or dvd drives.

just leave the motherboard, power supply and processor intact, try turning on the computer with out those components mentioned. see if you get a beep sound before it turns off, but if not the most logical part that needs to be replaced on this type of problem is the power supply if that doesn't work the next thing to do is replace the motherboard. hope that helps

hit me back on the results. thanks!
