Things you may wish to try:
1) clean the contact points on your charging unit by lightly scuffing with 180 to 220 grit sand paper.
2) Check the plug and make certain your recharging unit is powering up.
3) Repair or replace any worn or frayed electrical cord.
These units are and inexpensively mass-produced and usually not meant to last more than 2 to 3 years under moderate usage.
How old is it? Batteries have a finite lifespan, so it may be just that it needs a new battery.
Otherwise, there may be a short or something internally that is draining the battery down.
