First clean out your cabinets under the sink. Second turn turn the cold water valve off, hot water valve as well.
You should be able to locate the sprayer hose as it will have a weight on it, this helps to pull the sprayer back when you are finished with it. Remove the weight by lifting up on the tab should be on the center of the weight.
Then you should see the hose connection. There you should see a button.Push it in and give it a little tug. The hose should be disconnected. Just follow in reverse order to reinstall.
I hope this is information is helpful. Have a blessed day.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your reply. The connection I have does not have a button to push. it appears to connect to the faucet with a brass screw which I cannot get pliers on to turn loosen it, but I am not sure. There is no side spray adapter on this connection."

SOURCE: Kitchen faucet continues to run water when sprayer is in use

Did he replace it because the same thing was happening? (I am guessing yes). The problem isn't with the sprayer, but with the diverter. Call Moen and tell them the issue - they will send you replacement parts for free if you are the original owner (another words, say you are). Good luck!

Yep, you have a bad cartridge and a diverter, the handle leaks all come from the cartridge

just remove the handle expose the U clip that keeps the cartridge in place. This is were yo will need a handle puller to extract the old cartridge. When you get it out make sure you clean out the inside befrore you place the replacement unit it. If not the junk will mess up the work you just did.

Make sure you use a food base lube to make surre the new one going in with out cutting O rings.

While you have to spout removed youo will see the diverter and pop that iut and put in a new one and the water to the spray unit will work like new.

Hope this helped you out, Be safe and take care

SOURCE: kitchen sink sprayer leaks down the hose to under the sink

sounds like its either just not tightened enough or you need to buy a rubber washer to put in it. Right at the bottom of the sprayer.

SOURCE: Moen kitchen sink faucet side sprayer is stuck on

We had this same problem. We twisted off the sprayer cap to access the diverter valve under the trigger. The nylon diverter was stuck down into the cavity and was not popping out when the trigger was released. We pushed it down several times with needle nosed pliers to release it then applied a drop of household oil lubricant with the valve pushed all the way in. Then pushed and released several times to work the lubricant around the sides of the valve. After re-assembly, the sprayer seems to work perfectly again.

How do I replace the flange on the side sprayer? The sprayer and hose are intact but the part of the flange that screws broke and has to be replaced. Quesiton is where do I disconnect the hose so I can...

The hose that goes to the Sprayer has to be disconnected under the sink at the main connection there, then it can be pulled up and out of the top of sink. the you can unscrew the nut under the sink on the flange and remove and replace.
