It seems there is no English language instruction book for the Wirlpool microwave FT 338. However, the nearest UK equivalent is the FT 337, and the only difference is the lack of the "Crisp" plate.
I suggest you download the FT 337 instruction book in English from the Wirlpool.Uk website, and also the FT 338 insytruction book in French from the same source, which means you only need to translate a few lines of French into English to have the full instructions.

I solved the problem by calling the store direct.

Generally you have to take the cover off the whole microwave.
Unplug the unit and find the screws that hold the cover on, underneath and around the sides and unscrew them.
Lift the cover off.
The bulb holder can then be seen. Some holders slide off a peg for easy access, others may have to be detached from the housing via screws.
The bulb is normally a small edison screw type on most microwaves.

Having contacted Whirlpool UK, they at fisrt stated that this unit was not produced for thr UK (English speaking) market and that no manual in english existed. However, after we finished speaking a very resourceful lady at the Whirlpool head office found one and has mailed me a PDF. If you would care to mail me at [email protected] I will foreward it on to you :-D

Call thr Customer Service number located in the existing booklet and ask if the manual is available in English.
