Spray a little starter fluid down the carburator . It is starts then is is a fuel problem. Most likely a gummed up carburator. Remove and clean .

Hi
First remove the cover, air filter and the carburator. Then remove the gas tank cap and the fuel filter from inside of gas tank,at the end of fuel line.Take off the fuel line from the hole of the gas tank(at the top),replace the fuel line, put all back together and start the engine.

SOURCE: Ignition wire came lose inside my stihl 210c chainsaw .
This is the only diagram that is offered for this model but on the multifuntion switch (#33) The wire is layed through the upper part of it with the metal connector sticking out of the left side and once there you will pull the wire to the right until the metal connector is seated in the switch. After this reinstall the switch into the handle houseing and make sure that the contact spring (#24) is sitting on top of the switch and when in the off possition making contact with the metal conector of the wire on the switch.
SOURCE: No oil from chainsaw
Remove the chain and bar. Run the engine and observe the oil discharge port--any oil coming out? If so, clean the drive end of the bar and pay attention to the oil ports into the chain path. If no oil comes out, then the pump or oil lines are the indicated problem. Good luck!
SOURCE: Im having problems starting an MS250 Stihl chainsaw. Can you give
Chances are good that the compression is not to blame. I would look at:
1. Bad Fuel
2. Fuel Line/filter
3. Carb dirty/mis adjusted
3. Spark Plug
4. Ignition
