SOURCE: Samsung 600N transfer belt

I fought the "replace transfer belt" message for quite awhile. Then I finally realized I was trying to close the toner cartridge door BEFORE I closed the lid above it. (The printer was close to a wall so I couldn't see the "open and close in this sequence" signs on the cartridge door.) Once I closed them in the proper order, I stopped seeing that message. Janet

Its a bogus message. Simply open and close the front cover of the machine. It resets it and the message disappears.

SOURCE: color ink on transfer belt

I posted the problem on 4/6/09 about my HP Laserjet 2600n with the black line from top to bottom on all pages. The issues ended up being with one of the toner cartridges. I replaced them all - and the line went away! I will need to go back now and find out which one it was, and then I'll toss that one, and I will keep / reuse the others.

My printer can`t print and shows me to 'Check the transfer belt'

Your printer monitors the life of your transfer belt. When the transfer belt reaches the end of its

life, the printer displays

80 Belt Exhausted. This message indicates it is time for you to

replace the transfer belt. For best print quality, make sure you replace the transfer belt when

the printer displays

80 Belt Life Warning.

Press

Go to clear the message. The Supplies message appears on the second line of the

display to remind you that supplies need attention. You can open the Supplies Menu to see

80 Belt Exhausted

or 80 Belt Life Warning messages.

The printer continues to display the

Supplies message until you replace the transfer belt. To

replace the transfer belt, use the following steps or the instruction sheet supplied with the
transfer belt.

I get a warning message that the transfer belt on my C534n needs replacing. The specification says 120,000 prints, I have just run the diagnostics report and have done 28,000 only! Any ideas?

If you only printed 28,000 pages on your Transfer Belt kit, this might be a pre-mature failure and it needs a replacement. Please contact our Technical Support Hotline.

I was getting a message that the transfer belt needed to be replaced and I replaced it. But the message won't go away.

try this:

1. Press # sign; then 1934
2. Press MENU
3. Arrow to Tech Mode (not User Mode); press OK
4. DataSetup; move arrow to Clear All Memory
5. Clear All Memory; press OK
6. Choose coonutry; press OK; will erase and print out configuration report; clearing the transfer belt error.

This wipes out the counter on the Transfer Belt. Clear All Memory means all your settings are wiped out. This also reset all the counters EXCEPT the imaging unit counter.

Trust this helps. Please vote.
