Is the charging of the battery part of the camera or is it a separate charger? Meaning you remove the battery from the camera and install it into the charger to charge. Of course, if the charge is not full when both batteries have been on the charger, then the charger is at fault. Also, considering that you have also put a new battery on the same charger and the problem is still the same, then the charger is (again) at fault. You can try and send the charger to the retailer for inspection or, better still, take the whole camera and get it checked. Bad batteries or charger can cause more trouble to both the batteries or the camera.

Camileo p10 wont turn on or charge

I had a similar problem with the P10 not charging via USB, I purchased mine second hand so it came with no charger just a USB cable. I assumed it would charge by the USB cable but it did not, the red light flashes but doesn't charge. Luckily I have an external battery charger for a different camera i got some years ago that takes a similar battery , the P10 battery didn't fit properly so I had to place it at a 45 degree angle into the charger making sure the outer contacts were lined up properly and taped it into place. After an hour it was fully charged and the camera is working fine. The charger is a 4.2 volt charger. New external chargers can be picked up on ebay cheaply

Camcorder wont charge

Try cleaning the brass tabs on the battery and the point of contact brass in the camcorder. Use a soft brass brush (gun clean kits at Wal-mart carry them in all sizes). I do NOT recommend useing steel wool because steel wool will leave little bits of itself behind and cause shorting out

I am charging my new Flip Ultra HD battery pak for the first time. The charging light is flashing, non-stop. I thought the light was supposed to NOT flash while charging. Also, should the camera...

1) remove the battery pack from the camcorder
2) connect the camcorder to a powered USB port on your computer
3) when the "Connected" indicator comes on, insert the battery pack into the camcorder
4) safe eject your camcorder from your computer
5) reconnect your camcorder to your computer
6) the battery pack should now begin to charge within the camcorder

Not charging?

Please plug the camera charger in AC Outlet and hook it to camera. Check camera power turn ON, works fine? if OK, switch it to Standby / Off mode. Attach battery and check any charging light lit? If yes, leave the camera on charging position for 4-5 hours until its charge light flashs or turn Off. battery is chaged now. Have fun :)

Charging battery on new purchase.

i just got this camera today and i was having the same problem. i figured that i would just leave it while i was at work and see if it needed a full charge or something. when i got home, nothing. it would only power on when plugged in. after a little checking and swearing i found that i had put the battery in backwards. it will fit in backwards but will not charge it. the writing on the battery should be visible when it is in place. hope this helps.

Battery Charge Light not working & can't display battery info

This sounds similar to a problem I had. I brought the camera in under warranty and the repair shop fixed it. They shop text is cryptic.
Problem: Camera light keeps flashing, not charge
Solution: Troubleshoot to intermittent switch block control, replace with new one, test OK.

Draining battery

This camera has had problems with the primary switch block faulting. The camera will power up all by itself when unattended and drain the battery. Another symptom would be the battery refuses to charge fully because the camera must remain in the "OFF" mode for the charge process to begin. Sony in Laredo, TX is replacing these controls at little or no cost, I would call them to see if they will repair this for you. Hope this helps you.
