I have the driver for my webcam NX but don't have the program to snap still pics or "capture" video. There is a folder that I use to open that had a mini monitor so I could see the pic I wanted to snap and then I could save it on that application, when I removed that program I know longer had the disk to re-add it. I was able to find the driver for the webcam to work but can't find one to snap stills.CREATIVE CAM NX N10225 model PD1110

Sony's Vaio laptop computer line includes the company's Motion Eye webcam and ArcSoft WebCam Companion software for Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. Located in the LCD screen's upper bezel, the webcam is positioned at face-level when seated at the computer and automatically tracks movement to keep subjects within the lens's field of view.
1.Click on the "Start" menu at the bottom left corner of your screen, choose "All Programs" at the bottom of the menu just above the search box. 2.Scroll through the program list until "ArcSoft WebCam Companion" is located. Alternatively, you may type "WebCam Companion" in the search box to locate the program. 3.Click on the WebCam Companion icon to open the program. The program window will open, offering choices of Capture, Record, Monitor and Edit. Capture is used to take still pictures individually or in a series, Record is used to record videos, Monitor records videos when motion is detected and Edit allows editing of previously recorded videos. 4.Choose the webcam function you wish to use by clicking the icon. The appropriate screen will open, activating the webcam and displaying the camera view on-screen. The on-screen view will display what is within the field of the webcam lens, allowing you to adjust the LCD screen or your position before beginning webcam functions. 5.Click the webcam function according to the mode you have chosen. Functions in Capture mode include Capture or Burst, Record in the Record mode, Monitor in the Monitor mode and Snap Shot or Edit Video in Edit mode. When you have completed your webcam activity, the program automatically saves your video or snap shot within the program to be accessed, viewed or edited at a later time.
I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.com
You probably need the driver for it ..or ...you just opened the capture window and no preview is enabled..Open the camera in the computer folder and see if you have image there ..It is a snap shot feature...the main use for the camera is in the instant messaging programs for video calls ..try it and see if it works there..and this way you will now if you have a problem or not .. For video capture i suggest to use windows movie maker instead of the capture program of the camera ..It will be more reliable

Install
the software using the included CD and plug the LifeCam into a free USB
port. For desktop use, place the LifeCam on a clear spot on your desk
that's free of other objects, including cables. The camera should not
be more than an arm's length away from you. For LCD (or similar object)
use, push the center part of the camera's base upward, place the camera
on the LCD and close the base around the monitor to secure it.
2
Open
the device software by clicking the Microsoft LifeCam icon on your
Windows desktop. If no such icon exists on your Windows desktop, click
"Start," click "All Programs" and locate the Microsoft LifeCam program
in the list of programs there. After launching the LifeCam program,
look at the image that appears. If necessary, adjust the camera to more
precisely reflect your appearance. For best results, try to center the
camera image on your head and shoulders.
3
Click
the video camera icon on the bottom panel of the LifeCam program to
begin video capture. Video will begin recording, and you will see a
"Recording Video" message beneath the live video image. To stop
recording, press the same icon (the icon will have a red square with a
blue background during recording).
4
To
begin audio capture, click the microphone icon on the bottom panel. To
stop the audio recording, click the same icon (again, it will have a
red square with a blue background during recording). To snap a photo,
click the camera icon on the bottom panel.
5
Access
any of your captured video, audio or image files by clicking the folder
on the bottom panel. The VX-3000 also provides the ability to edit
video or image files using supported software. After snapping a photo
or capturing video, click the "Edit" icon that appears beneath the
thumbnail of the captured content.

All webcams are capable of capturing videos. It actually is done through the program installed along with the drivers. You run the program and then capture either single pics or videos.
Usually you should have a button on top of webcam. Pressing it, will make pictures. Save the pictures in folder and you can send via email
If you don't have the button, you must open the application provided with the webcam. (e. g. Start - programs - your webcam name). In that application you must have option Capture. Clicking on it, it will make pictures.
You can use the mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail) attaching the picture

Probably has corrupt driver.
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
Ok, I found the procedure to install the webcam correctly under Windows Vista.
1- Download the XP driver from the Creative website
2- With WinRar extract the files to a folder on the desktop (don't warry if the downloaded driver file is .exe)
3- Once extracted the files to the folder, open it and again
extract the files from the folder called "Win2KXP.cab" into a new
folder
4- Open the extracted folder, and you will find a "Driver" folder.
5- Go back to the main driver folder and extract "Eng.cab" files and place them on the "Driver" folder
5- Open the "Driver" folder and double-clik on the file called "VfwUpd.exe"
6- Now go the Device Manager on the Control Panel
7- Plug your webcam and choose manually where to find drivers.
8- select the "Driver" folder or the main driver folder and your webcam is finally working
