I Think there are 3 wires to a Pioneer changer?? +12V Battery ( Hot ) on all of the time Switched +12v ( accessories, or switched by the radio only when it's on, and Ground (Chassis Earth) I think there was 2x orange and one black wire Make sure that there is a good earth to the changer. Use a multimeter on ohms between a good earth point on the car and the cd changer or the black wire.
If you disconnect and reconnect all poer to the changer, you may hear the motors whirr for a short time as the mechanism resets, but cant be sure. Hope that helps
