The model number you showed is a part number the model number is usually on the cabinet when you open bottom drawer or door, F2E0 is a control panel problem, stuck button or bad connection
The F2 E0 error indicates a short at the key pad or a wiring issue between the control board and the keypad. Try pressing Cancel. Next turn off the range at the circuit breaker or unplug the range. Wait at least a minute before returning power to the system. Check if the error returns within a few minutes. Disconnect the power again and check the wiring between the control board and the key pad (if these aren't a single assembly). If the wiring connection is loose, secure the wires. If there is corrosion at the contacts, use a contact cleaner on the unit. Let the contact cleaner dry before connecting the power again. If the wires are damaged, replace the broken wires.
If those steps don't resolve the issue, replace the key pad or keypad and control board depending on the unit. If the error returns after replacing only the keypad, then the control board has to be replaced.
Please check the model number of the range. Current Whirlpool range models start with 3 or 4 letters, 2-3 numbers, another letter and another letter and 2 more letters. W10400397B could be a replacement part number for some specific item inside the range or the serial number. It isn't a valid Whirlpool part or model number at https://www.whirlpoolparts.com/ or https://www.partselect.com/Whirlpool-Oven-Parts.htm .
I hope this helps.

F2-EO indicatwes a shorted key pad. Electronic parts on ranges sometimes have warranty for five years (may only cover parts) so check your owners manual to see what your warranty is then call for service. It is a good idea to save reciepts of repair for future reference if neccessary.

It sounds like you have an oven problem rather than a start button problem. Is there an error code? If so list your model and error code on a search engine and you will find error codes. Or you can just list make model number and error codes and you can find a chart of Whirlpool error codes. I have done this with no problem. That should tell you the exact problem and things to try.
It may be neither issue you mentioned. It could be a bad element or a short.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your kitchen aid means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you’ll have to replace the electronic range control/clock (ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
