that's part of the serial no, what import is the first part

for example modern types

CA-AC2-110(A2)

means it a 110amp controller used on a Cadiz , some Rascal's .

C7-AC2-40

means it a 40 amp controller used on the smaller scooters such as the Wispa ..

C5-HFPC-888A .. older type

888 is the model no used by shoprider
normally a 70 amp rated controller used on the shoprider sovereign mobility scooters

Hi , is it the Midi or Maxi XL model ? PG Controller (normally a silver colour ) has the following as the listed fault

There is a bad connection to the motor and the controller

If 's it a Rhino controller normally a blue colour ,

The battery is completely empty. The scooter does not drive.
• Recharge the battery immediately.
If the scooter is left off for a few minutes, the battery may recover enough
to allow driving again for a short time. However, driving on an empty
battery may cause damage to the battery.

The Madrid scooter is a Shoprider scooter. The controller can be repaired by calling 800-798-0325 (Monster Scooter Parts). If you open the controller there are 2 fuses inside which are replaceable and may be the cause of the problem. I have attached a link to the service manual available for download. Refer to Page 14-15 for specific controller info.

I had a similar problem with my Pride Legend XL when I drove it
through a puddle accidently and some water splashed up underneath
the motor controller. It would buck or go then stoo without any warning
as the electric brake was applied. Had to take the seat off and use a
hair dryer on the controller connections to dry them out. It doesn't
seem to take much water to make these inoperative. After thoroughly
dried out with a hair dryer..no more problems like that with it.
