SOURCE: no outlet box in ceiling, it has a hook
They sell brackets at home stores, but I have nailed a 2x4 between ceiling joists & mounted an electrical box at proper height. If you aren't good with electrical, get an electrican to run power for you.
The hanger must be SOLID & the wiring GOOD.

SOURCE: gas heater won't ignite
I agree. Either the pilot flame is dirty and is not making good contact to heat up the bi metal strip on the pilot assembly, or the pilot assembly is defective. 90% of the time if you clean the pilot orfice and the pilot burner it will take care of the problem
SOURCE: Old reznor gas heater lights up but fan does not
Hi,usually when a heater doesn't "Kick in" it has got to do with the thermistor and or thermostat. The actual thermistor is the best place to start. However with older gear, it is very prudent to get it checked out professionally, as any problems may be fatal... there are indeed strict laws regarding the servicing of ANY Gas equipment due to the possible dangers associated with any mistakes, that said though there is no reason why one cannot check and replace these components, just be careful and follow any instructions.
Also sometimes the regulators can become faulty, this is another thing to remember to check.
If the Fan isn't working then most likely it to do with the thermostat or maybe it is the BI-metallic strip or Thermal Fuse, or the main controller, or the actual fan motor itself, or perhaps if a capacitor if used, this too may gone faulty, one simply has to work through and test each part to isolate the exact cause.
