If you connect it to the computer using ti connect device explorer you can try to do everything from there. Manage your memory. If you saying the plus sign is broke too, because it is the memory key too. I wonder if you "+">a would work. Just 2nd recall "a" when you need the plus sign. You can store it in any variable you want. Setting up systems to operate your calculator's memory management can be done on command or Entry Line. Much easier with Ti connect. You don't really need the plus sign or memory key to run very good memory management programs. Just remember to download from this site my ti 84 plus silver manual on how unarchive and run programs. I really don't recommend taking the calculator apart, they usually end up broke at that point.
