Have a 2008 Element TV. Someone told me it can be used as a computer monitor. Is it true?

Your tv has hdmi and vga inputs. Modern computers use hdmi output but older models were using vga. You should be able to use it with any PC

Trying to connect our element flx2210 to a computer through a VGA cord. When plugged in and on the vga input the tv screen says not support. would the computer be too old for the tv?

Sorry that I can't give you an actual solution, but I've been checking up on this TV all night. 90% of the upset people are that way because they either didn't turn off everthing before messing with plugs, or used an incompatible VGA cable (even though I've never heard of one of those. Be careful back there, Element charges $250 for repairs before they even know what the problem is....

Element LCD TV owners - Using the VGA port may crash your TV!

I bought two of these tv's and they worked fine,I hooked up a computer to both of them and blam smelt smoke in one and the other wont come on either. The computer takes them out. It is a common problem with this TV.
