After I wake up my pc from the screen saver mode, I noticed the task bar at the bottom of the screen is no longer there. I only see the Windows startup logo button (I'm using vista).
How can I get the task bar back without having to reboot my pc or without having to pull up the Task Manager to find all the windows?
Mine does this with windows 7, right click on desktop and open 'personalize' then open 'taskbar and start menu'
From here choose to move your taskbar location to the side of the screen and click apply. it should return, then just tell it to go back to the bottom.
Check for viral infection. On taskbar under personalize only the autohide taskbar is uncheck.
On your desktop screen, right click mouse pop up bar, then click personalize, on pop up bar click task bar and start menu. Then uncheck the "autohide task bar", click apply and ok.
That should do it.
Or move first your mouse until the monitor get up. If not do the above.

Under the Taskbar and Menu properties, the "Auto-hide the Taskbar" box is already unchecked. For some reason, the task bar keeps on disappearing. Any other suggestions?
