Question about Whirlpool 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
It did trip the breaker, and I verified that after resetting breaker, that there was 240v to the connection block. Am I missing something like a fuseable link or actual fuse that needs to be changed to restore power? Hoping it isn't the $240 control panel.

It sounds like the burner needs to be replaced. When they burn out sometimes they short out to ground. The cooktop will have to be removed from the counter and the glass top opened. You will probably be able to see where the element is burned out. Replace it and you should be fine. If it is too expensive to fix just disconnect the wires to the burner where they attach to the control . Then you can use the remaining burners. I really don't know what a replacement burner costs. An open coil is around $30.

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
