It took me a bit to figure it out and the above answers did not work. Do this: Press and hold the Clock/Timer button until you see 12hr or 24hr displayed. Enter the correct time. Then press the Clock/Timer button to lock the time in.
You MUST unplug the microwave first to clear the time.
Plug back in.
Press CLOCK
Enter the correct time
Press START.
It's done!
To set the time display, the steps usually are to first turn off the microwave oven completely. Then power it on. Touch the "Clock" or "set time" pad and key in the current time. Press the set pad to lock the time.

In most cases, you press Clock, then the numbers, then either Clock or Start.

Normally on a Sharp, one of these key combinations will do it:
CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK
CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > START
CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK
CLOCK > CLEAR > 1 > 2 > 3 > START

Sounds like you disabled the clock function. If you do not have the user manual, you can get a copy at this website and use the function keys to reactivate and set the clock...

After six months I just figured it out. Push the cook by weight button in and hold it until the clock function comes on. Turn left for hour and right for minute. Figured this out by holding the cancel button in and a child lock came on, I didn't know how to release it so I reversed the process by holding it in and it cleared. I tried it with the cook by weight, which has a small clock icon next to it and voilla.

One of these combinations may work:
CLOCK > 1
> 2 > 3 > CLOCK
CLOCK > 1
> 2 > 3 > START
CLOCK > CLEAR
> 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK
CLOCK > CLEAR
> 1 > 2 > 3 > START
Otherwise, I would contact the dealer you bought it form to see if they have a number for Cascade.
